Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Ada Wong, and now, Ethan Winters will forever be my favourite RE characters.

As Much as I love Leon.... Jill will always hold a special number 1 spot in my heart because Resident Evil 3 was the first game I played in PS1 and was instantly hooked. I will never ever forget these lines "September 28th, daylight. The monsters have overtaken the city. Somehow, I’m still alive... ". Even now, sometimes I play it back to refresh the good old memories.

Losing Piers Nivans so soon and in such a away was both disappointing but also enhanced his character. I was left wanting so much more of him but also appreciating how strong and selfless he was. I do be very much wish he’d survived.

So I got into Resident Evil through the RE2make and Leon as well as Claire quickly became my favorites. RE3make made me fall in love with Carlos and Jill while RE4make made me love Leon and Ada even more

Personally I really like Ethan. He's just a normal guy, who gets kidnapped and gets limbs ripped off, but he still manages to get through it to save his wife. Now that's what I call dedication.

Leon has become my favorite video game protagonist of all time. He's witty, quick thinking, his one-liners and dumb jokes make almost anyone smile, and he simply has a great heart pushing towards whats right. Everything about him I find interesting, and am so entertained whenever we see him whether that be in the games or movies!

And here comes "Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City", a masterpiece raising our most beloved Leon to a status of totally incompetent dushe.

I think another reason why I love Leon so much in RE and why he totally deserves his number 1 spot, is because in both RE2 Remake and RE4 Remake, he’s got an incredible vocal theme that plays in the credits. Saudade showing the fear and acceptance of his trauma, and The Bullet or The Blade showing Leon’s drive to keep moving forward despite the ones he’s lost. A true hero for ANY generation to strive for ❤

Chris doesn't feel like a different character, it just feels like he evolves with every game. Someone made a good video about it called "growth of Chris Redfield".

jill (although the remake's personality rubs me the wrong way) and leon will always be best for me and it's weird to me that capcom waited so long to have them meet

Claire is definitely my favorite character IDEA. unfortunately, the games after 2 shaft her so badly she never really does anything. Even in Infinite Darkness she's just... kinda there. Sure she kicks ass in Degeneration and I haven't seen Death Island yet and there's also Revelations 2, but that's basically everything she's in. Re9 should 100% have Claire as either a major character or protagonist.

See the reason why I like Leon so much is one is how you can see how's he's changed over the games and movies. And even after all he's been through he still going to lengths to do what's right. Basically what you said I agree with

Ethan is unironically my favorite protagonist in the series not because hes the coolest or strongest or even because he has an interesting personality but his resolve is just hella inspiring to me. The fact that hes just some dude who wants to be with his family no matter what happens and is just forced into these hellish situations that he fights through because of his sheer willpower and determination is just simply inspiring. His death was just so perfectly done too.

I think Ethan is underrated. Sure he makes some really stupid remarks but it's nice to play as an average guy fighting against all odds to save those he loves.

To be honest, Rebecca is my favorite. She is the most realistic character in my eyes since most of us would react in those situation just like her. She is reliable and passionate about her friends even if she is not a skilled cop yet. She didnt have time to improve the way Chris or Jill did during their career for example, thats the reason she doesnt have much to put on the table. She got potentional but I doubt Campcom will bring her back. Still, I cant wait to see her in Dead Island, she was a likeable character in Vendetta even though she barely had any action scenes. It was a pleasent surprise to see her again. :D

Rebecca is soo underrated but Ada Wong is my favorite Female protagonist and Leon is my favorite male protagonist
