The ARMY BASE Tower In BTD6 / Bloons TD 6! This is a custom tower mod equipped with 15 unique upgrades and tons of crazy weapons at your disposal! Ranging from walking mortar monkeys, jeeps, dirt bikes, and more.

    This is probably the most fleshed-out custom tower I've seen so far. Everything is custom made with unique art, effects, 3D models and animations. Well done, creators. 10/10.

    at 5:22, it looks like they're shooting sub darts so it probably can't see camo and thus won't seek towards the bloons
  • The reason we don't place monkeys on the track is because of the danger that being run over by a bloon poses. This is why the only things placed on the track are inanimate objects that can cause harm to the bloons. These soldier monkeys in the lore would have to be expertly trained to deal with bloons of all types in head to head combat. Truly the bravest and best of monkeykind. It's a good thing one of the monkeys' oldest technological advancements allows projectiles to only hurt balloons, otherwise the soldiers would have a tough time getting around acid pools and spike factories.

    The tower is probably underpowered because there were multiple tracks for it to go through, it’d probably be a lot stronger if it were on a single lane map. That being said, it could really help out on harder tracks like workshop, geared, or flooded valley

    As someone who plays probably a little too many tower defense games on Roblox, I have a gut feeling that this mod is based off a certain tower archetype present in many of those games - The Spawner tower. It's basically a tower that spawns in a moving unit on the track to attack enemies. Interestingly, some of the upgrades of this mod tower actually make the tower worse, namely the movement speed upgrades. A common misconception is that faster walkspeed on the spawns means its better, but due to the nature of spawner towers, the speed of the spawns dont matter much since they will always hit the enemies no matter what. Slower walkspeed is actually beneficial to these types of towers as it allows their units to stay on screen for longer and run into more enemies, dealing more damage.

    I'm 90% sure that the mech commanders design is based off the original M.A.D design, which is a really nice feature!
  • kinda reminds me of this old tower defense game i used to play on roblox. the game had a military base tower that would send out jeeps that would go up the track from the end to the start of it and ram into zombies. upgrades would make it be able to ram into more zombies and even fire at them before colliding into them.

    6:16 actually true, it fits with the art style and synergizes with a lot of towers(anything that deals with moabs) plus the concept is very unique
  • "why didnt the monkeys think of using cars before? Probably cause bloons float" says ISAB while using a spike factory, spikes that are laying on the ground, not even moving cant float.
