Tepid iPhone sales aren't all that ail Apple in China. Competition from local smartphone rivals, trade-dispute fallout and a court battle could make 2019 a tough year for the company in its most important market outside the U.S. Photo composite: Crystal Tai.

Maybe it's the time for Apple to reduce the price of it's products.

Not a good time for Apple. Declining sales in world's two most populous countries.

This really did not explain anything in depth about the problem. Just the basics that everybody knows already if they had payed any attention to the news for the past 6 months.

It's the range of phones available, most of which are better than the Iphone. Apple is just a name and nothing else.

Chinese companies such as Huawei are adopting new technologies like 5G in their smartphones faster than Apple while also underselling the iPhone. This is the main reason Apple is losing market share in China.
  • Steve Jobs death is apples death simple Tim is just cooking apple pie.
  • Apple was just too greedy with their pricings since the iPhone X and 8. They need to drastically reduce prices of their new released phones and focus on making revenue trough services.

Is Apple going the Nokia way?
  • simple facts, you make better products you sell a better price. apple was popular in china because it was an out standing company, but today, honestly, apple dissapointed more than chinese 😔

It's their fault for creating that dumb notch. It looks stupid. I'm not upgrading from my iPhone 7 Plus for an uglier phone. And the specs are pretty much the same lol. And they took away touch ID smh. Don't really want 30 scans each day with Face ID...feel like it be unsafe.
