Columbia is a weird place where the poor and the rich live side by side

Im from sc and Columbia crazy cause you could be in a nice neighborhood make one turn and be in the trap

Call it a hood, low income or whatever, at least they aren't living in tents or on the sidewalk.

I've read some of the comments and just because these are low rent homes does not make the people less valuable just because they do not live in a, "gated" community.  Some of the worst and most vile evil and violent people you can ever meet come from affluent backgrounds.

This man looked like he just stayed on N. Main Rd. he should’ve went to Monticello, Broad River, two notch could’ve went through neighborhoods like the colonies, Rock gate, Lincolnshire, The bishop and crane forest and he didn’t even touch the north east side of Columbia

Maybe I’m biased (I’m from S.C.) or maybe it’s the trees and grass, but S.C. hoods look a lot more pleasant than a lot of the other hoods on this channel.

These roads are in deplorable shape, these apartments are city property. Where is all the taxpayer dollars going? This area needs better Legislative representation. Vote!

The "Obama" gas station use to be called the Hotspot! You were destine to be in or see some ish if you lived in the vicinity that area.

I’ve lived in North Carolina and then South Carolina for the last 7 years on my own. Now I’m back in North Carolina. I didn’t know anyone there. They say Columbia gets rough. I think a lot of the violence that occurs is between people that know each other. I was homeless in Columbia and slept in my car. Not once did I feel unsafe. I would not do that in my hometown Detroit where I grew up all my life.

I lived in Columbia for 15 years and these areas are not the HOOD!!!!! If you did not go through Saxon Homes by Allen University or Green St. behind MLK park, you haven't seen shit there... these are dream areas compared to what you show up North... AND you can always count on Southerners to be courteous, dude waving you through at the 4 way would never happen up there with you Yankees.... yewwwwww Southern Hospitality even in the ghetto - gotta love it!!!!

I currently live in Columbia, SC. There’s good people here that work hard and don’t mess/bother people. I’m very blessed to be on the northeast side but everyone don’t have the same opportunities afforded to them. Sometimes it tough, but there are still good people in the city
