Matthew Broderick (born March 21, 1962) is an American actor. His roles include the Golden Globe-nominated portrayal of the title character in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), the voice of adult Simba in Disney's The Lion King (1994), and Leo Bloom in both the Broadway musical The Producers and its 2005 film adaptation.
Other films he had starring credits in include WarGames (1983), Glory (1989), The Freshman (1990), The Cable Guy (1996), Godzilla (1998).
Matthew Broderick Car Crash
On August 5, 1987, while driving a rented BMW 316 on the Tempo Road outside Tempo, Northern Ireland, Broderick crossed into the wrong lane and collided head-on with a Volvo. He was vacationing with Jennifer Grey, whom he had begun dating in semi-secrecy during the filming of Ferris Bueller's Day Off; the crash publicly revealed their relationship. He suffered a fractured leg and ribs, a concussion, and a collapsed lung.
Grey's injuries included severe whiplash, which later required surgery to avoid paralysis. Broderick told police he had no recollection of the crash and did not know why he had been in the wrong lane: "What I first remember is waking up in the hospital, with a very strange feeling going on in my leg."
He was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and faced up to five years in prison, but was convicted of the lesser charge of careless driving and fined $175.

Apparently the victims brother and son later forgave Broderick & had plans to meet him in 2003 but the meeting never happen...wonder how this guy sleeps at night knowing what...R.I.P to both of them.

He doesn't know why he was on the wrong side of the road? He's a "septic" driving in a country he's not familiar with, where we drive on the correct side of the road. It is obvious that he F-ed up and made a mistake. The sickening thing is the £175.00 fine. That is disgusting how cheap a life is. Sorry for the rant, great video.

Thank you for your videos. I am a driving beginner and these crash sims really remind me of driving carefully. Especially at the beginning, as a young adult freshly done with zero street experience, you sometimes get overconfident - even if it's just slightly. These videos are a great reminder why you need eyes on the street and think for other drivers.

Must be nice being a celebrity and, more often than not, even upon killing somebody, automatically having any and/or all ramifications downgraded to the least consequential charges imaginable. "You made how many millions for your last movie? Bah, it doesn't matter. Just give us a couple hundred bucks and we'll call it even."
