PUT A BIT OF SUNSHINE INTO SOMEONE'S LIFE

I did something similar for my former supervisor. She had a rough day at work and Easter was coming around the corner and I went to the dollar store and found rabbits on stakes that you put in the lawn and lots of coloured plastic eggs and I scattered them all over her front lawn in the dark of the night and put a greeting Easter card in her mailbox and the next morning she left me a message saying that I totally made her day. I’m sure her grandchildren got a kick out of it too. I will also sneak flower pots with beautiful plants in my co workers front yard who has beautiful gardens in her front yard and she somehow seems to notice and she is always very touched by it. It’s so rewarding to brighten up someone’s day. I always try to be the light in peoples lives whenever I can.

We did these with our girls while they were growing up. We called them”just because we love you gifts”. It thrills my heart that now as 3 grown up adults they still give “just because we love you gifts!” Thanks for sharing this sweet idea!

Hello Dee, what a wonderful idea. I do something similar for my daughter every so often: a nice bag of small useful gifts which always put a smile on her face. I'm going to pinch your idea of a sunshine box and make it yellow from now on and extend it to friends too. We often pick up little gifts for each other when we come across something we think would be liked so making it into sonething even more special is a lovely idea❤
