5 tugs worked in the early morning hours to move the Dali from the Francis Scott Key Bridge Site. After losing power the ship crashed into the bridge causing a collapse and the deaths of six workers .

Thanks to ‪@AlfredMontaner‬ and ‪@TheFoodBoat‬ for their help in bringing you this historic marine event from Baltimore. Alfred and Derek stepped up for the Minorcan Navy! This is a modified video from our livestream earlier today.

I was happy to be part of this historical event and to be able to ride along with Captain Andy and the Minorcan Crew! 🇺🇸

Local news said they are unloading, and then taking ship to Norfolk for repairs. Excepted to be in Baltimore several weeks.

Yes May 20th 2024 yesterday early morning was a very big day and an very long day for Capt Andy and his Crew. And I was truly thinking that they were going wait as long as possible until moving the Dali away. That sunrise was at 6:48am and it was at 6:51am that the Dila started to move. And that single Blowing of the Horn by the Tug saying that it's moving back to Dock.

Andy, this is my first comment as a Sailor, I 'm in the UK and have been watching you almost since you started, so I've been here with in spirit, if not actually there for a long time, as a silent witness. Your live b/casts were a prime reason for me to start watching them, as you have given so much to the world, by showing exactly how much damage had been done, and how things were being done to sort out the clearance programme as it happened. Thank you for all you did during that time, it was the most interesting thing on YT. I was watching from just before first light your time, and stayed until the end with some pauses in the stream, for usual reasons, but I was there to see the first slip LIVE, that was not just a relief for me but Baltimore for the fact they could get their port back. That was when i decided the only way to thank you for all your time and investment, was to join "the navy". I had meant to do so before but like everyone, got distracted many times. So where do we go from here? Any idea where our next trip is going to be? Thanks once again for such an informative voice-over throughout. I had always wondered where you got the name, and finally near to the end you explained where you "came from" that was a fascinating piece of info I'd never heard of so that has gone right into my mental storage box of interesting things to remember. Sorry this comment has gone on so long but I've seen such a lot and learned such a lot too, I can finally thank you. THANK YOU ANDY, sorry perhaps I should have said , thank you Captain. BCNU.m Thanks again from UK.
  • Thanks for your dedication. Andy. Relieved for the crew , port workers and everyone involved Tugs did a great job. Momentous day.
  • Thank you Capt Andy!!!! I watched the live stream yesterday and was just thrilled when the Dali finally showed some movement. The tug operators and their crews have been beyond outstanding with their unwavering professionalism and dedication. I hope the get the recognition and appreciation they deserve!!!
  • Captain Andy, your coverage of the tragic circumstances, aftermath and recovery of the Dali was exceptional. Thank you and your team.

Very nice job on this composite summary today. You held up well, considering you got no sleep. Enjoy your couple days off, you've earned it. Your coverage is the best, thank you.
  • @JohnShinn1960
Big day in the wee hours indeed! Thanks Captain! 👍🤠

For people who have only seen this video, it's sped up considerably. The actual movement of the ship sas so slow you could hardly see it moving at the outset. Once you could actually see the movement, Capt Andy and his immediate team were almost in tears because they had put so much time and effort into their exceptional coverage.

Great day! Was very surprised to see Alfred and Derek there! I wish you would consider chat restrictions. At times you can't keep up with the "chatter." Level one, < 2,000 watching, everyone can post in chat. Level two, 2,001-5,000 watching, you must be a subscriber to post in chat. Level Three, 5,001-8,000 watching, chat restricted to subscribers who have "liked" the video (Not sure YT can be configured for that). Level Four, > 8,001 watching, chat restricted to members only.
  • i got up around 530 cst to watch them move the Daly...but then i was wondering if they were gonna even move it at all..then all of a sudden..BAM..its moving...its amazing to watch 5 tugs pull that HUGE ship.
