Defending a groomer and starting with “I met her when I was is 12” is definitely one of the things of all time
  • @lil_huntito
Starting off your defense of a pedophile with "i've known her since i was 12" is a top tier chess opener
  • @sirrom835
This is exactly how Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher defended Danny Masterson. Just because someone is nice to you, that doesn't mean they can't be abusive to someone else.

I think the early harassment of JoJo directly contributed to where she is now, not only was she surrounded by groomers to the point she thinks it's normal, but so many people were mocking her for the harmless things she did like wearing colorful clothing and being loud that in the end it likely further alienated her from healthy adults and chased her further into the waiting arms of said groomers, they see situations like these as opportunities and lurk around for a chance to pounce

Lmao I’m honestly baffled how she really thought “no colleen’s not a groomer, we were best friends when I was 12” would work
  • @Cynsham
Jojo has been groomed and exploited by adults her entire life, she's been desensitized to situations like this to the point she thinks that it is normal for adults to engage in such close personal relationships with random children. I feel really sad for her because she can't recognize that she is defending the exact sort of behavior that she is a victim of.

When I was 28 I made a friend on League of Legends. It turned out he was 15. I still stayed friends with him, but never asked for facebook or photos or didn't pry into anything personal. I was there just playing games and be a mentor to his school and problems that he needed help with. Now he is an adult and we're like brothers. Even if you don't have any bad intentions I still suggest to act in a way that won't seem questionable with a minor.

It almost looks like she’s connecting all the dots during this interview, and is trying to come to terms with it. It’s actually kind of sad 😔

Saying “I’ve known her since I was 12” while trying to defend a woman about to be in her 40s over grooming allegations is INSANE
  • @EverythingIsLit
This trend of defending abusers because "they were nice to me" has to stop ASAP.

You can really tell jojo is so media trained from such a young age everything she says is so careful she takes so long to get out a sentence
  • the whole "they were nice to me" thing reminded me of going to my friends house and her parents being total sweethearts to me. like took us out for dinner and let us watch a movie in the living room, just totally sweet and wholesome parents. at some point I said just about the same thing to her.. She told me about all of the things they did to her and all the times she had to wear jackets during the summer to keep her family out of trouble. How she had to beg her parents to give her her door back so she could have a friend over. I was fucking horrified. It's the same exact thing. People like Colleen know exactly how to put up a front that is so convincing it allows them to go for years or even the rest of their lives with some people.

"there's no way she was a predator, she was so kind to me, a child, while she was an adult" They really chose the worst possible person to defend her huh
  • @knead4speed
Crazy how JoJo has now defended Colleen, is still friends with James Charles and Shane Dawson, AND she has such a large child audience
  • @spoookley
has anyone considered that jojo intentionally phrased it the way she did because 1: this is her childhood inspiration to start her youtube channel, which led to her present day success. this is a tough situation for her. 2: her saying it’s lies is because that’s what she’s been always told. she’s still processing this information and is very likely one of the people who were groomed. 3: she’s grieving the loss of a close friend. jojo is now 20, so they’ve been in contact for 8 years. currently she is in the stage of denial, which is healthy. 4: she has constant pressure from the media during a very stressful time of her life. 5: listening to her talk about how they met, she sounded like she might even blame herself. obviously jojo isn’t at fault in any way here, but she might have survivors guilt on top of all of this. regardless, she is in serious need of a good therapist.
  • @Accion_y_Pasion
Am I the only one who thinks that Jojo probably permanently damaged her vocal cords from always screaming? She sounds like a 60 year old retired WWE wrestler
  • @Jirby2134
The thing about jojo is that she has defended James Charles and Shane Dawson so… not the best track record.
  • @_..-.._..-.._
Calling Colleen a “comedian” is the most offensive part of the whole situation.
  • @EmeraldPencil46
I think she’s trying her best to defend her because her brain isn’t letting her accept the possibility that the person she sees as a good friend is in reality a bad person. I don’t blame her for it, psychology is a weird and honestly fascinating thing, and she just doesn’t want to betray her friend.
  • @seriphine
Even if the kids lied about getting groomed (which they didn’t) there’s still a literal photo of a kids hand down her pants on stage
