I learnt to fish for Barbel following big Des on DVD many years ago. I caught big fish in rivers close to a city thanks to him. Follow this advice and you will catch great fish. What a guy

I'm a beginner Carp Angler (in experience only {Im 58 yrs old😉}) from the USA. I’ve heard your name (and references to your incredible angling history) mentioned on YT about a thousand times and finally came across one of your videos. I loved it! As you likely know, we don't have many (if any) professional/Legendary carp anglers over here. So I’m forced to live out my carp fishing dreams vicariously through many of the great Channels/Anglers I find on YouTube. You've now been added to my list👍 For certain, I'll be binge-watching as many of your videos as time allows. - Joe

Great video. Brought back lots of memories of Severn and Teme fishing for barbel 30 years ago, before I emigrated to Canada ( for the fishing). Used to frequent Birmingham Anglers Association waters. Hope they still have them. Many thanks.

Wonderful video, Des is a local legend to all who know him.

Watching and listening to Des Taylor is always a great pleasure. It's funny to be German while all my favourite anglers are Britons. There must be a reason for that, and I think it's just the relaxed way of talking about fishing and not taking it deadly seriously.

Had some good doubles by Ironbridge power station 20 plus years ago. Used to get large pike attacking the swimfeeders. Used to tie a treble to the feeder and use them as a lure. Down the river at 3 in the morning. Happy days😊😊😊😊
