At the tender age of 16 back when in HS I never missed a "record hop"..I'm in my late 70's and all those fun time dance memories come flooding back...I'm 16 again😅 thanks for the memories

As with any generation, the music at that time was the greatest leaving behind sensational memories good and bad. However, that said my generation for me was absolutely the greatest time in my life. Thanks to all the artists who instilled wonderful memories of my time. 😅

The best music. Nothing today compares to the music of the 50's and 60's!

To me the 60's are the best music era. I'm 80 years old now, but I hear these great old songs and brings back priceless memories that nothing can ever take away. THESE SONGS SIMPLY CAN NOT BE REPLACED.. :face-blue-smiling:

I was born in the 80s but my heart and soul belong in the 50s. I get all weepy when I hear the music and see the cars from then. I wish I had a chance to be alive during the 50s. Can we please go back!!!!😢😢

So nostalgic! I remember all the words. I lived in a summer resort town about 20 miles south of Boston. Every Friday night there was a dance in a local ballroom. It was for young teens - no liquor. I danced to all this music when I was 13, 14, 15! The DJ was called Woo-Woo Ginsberg. Some of these stars appeared at the ballroom - Annette, Fabian, Frankie Avalon and many more. At the same time, my brother was a trumpet player in a "Big Band". I was too young to go to the ballrooms and hotels where he played around Boston and other New New England states. One day he told me the band got a job playing for a ROCK 'N ROLL SHOW in Boston and he could take me!!!! OMG! I was so happy! I sat in the front row and watched Chuck Berry, Frankie Avalon, The Diamonds, a new singer at that time called Jodi Sands, and other doo-wop groups whose names I cannot remember -- hey, I'm 79 now! My brother brought me back stage and I got autographs. I met Chuck Berry!! Also, most of the others, but Chuck Berry was my favorite - loved to dance to his songs. My brother passed away about 6 years ago at the age of 86. He so enjoyed those years in the band. It's midnight and I don't think I can sleep after listening to these tunes!! Thank you soooo much!
