🇫🇷 A le voir, le groupe @BABYMETAL a tout du girls band japonais : mignon, sucré, inoffensif. A l’entendre en revanche, c’est une autre paire de manches ! Su-Metal, Moametal et Momometal sont en effet les fers de lance du kawaii metal, ce style improbable qui mélange j-pop et metal.
Lancé en 2010, Babymetal surfe depuis sans discontinuer sur la vague du succès. Les idoles bien énervées ont en effet pu se produire sur les scènes et les festivals les plus prestigieux du monde, éclatant tous les records. Un phénomène renouvelé à chaque sortie d’album. A ce propos, à l’heure où nous écrivons ces lignes, la discographie de Babymetal comprend quatre opus : Babymetal (2014), Metal Resistance (2016), Metal Galaxy (2019) et The Other One (2023).
En pleine tournée mondiale – qui l’amène de Bangkok à Los Angeles - Babymetal marque bien sûr un stop au Hellfest. Juchées sur l’une des Mainstages, les trois Japonaises font une démonstration de leur étonnant mélange de furie, de mignonnerie et de chorégraphie millimétrée. Une sacrée performance !

Don't forget that it's not just the girls and band playing that's great, but the group of talented composers and arrangers who have produced their varied and original music, which is the foundation of their awesomeness. One of the reasons for their popularity is that they have many good songs, including Metal arrangements!

Before the audio was fixed we had a chance to hear Su-Metal very clearly which proved two things- she really does sing even during the choreography and she is very consistent with her voice. With the audio now fixed the concert is worth listening to over and over again. 👍 ❤️🔥🤘

I heard about this band a while back, but I wasn't really into watching or listening to them. Girls dancing to metal music seemed a bit strange to me. However, recently I stumbled upon one of their performances on YouTube, and I've completely fallen for them. The songs, the music, the energy, and the dance moves are all awesome! Su-Metal is incredibly beautiful and has this star quality on stage that makes her the band's icon, I think. 😊

I'm excited to see how the band will continue in this line-up. It must be exhausting to perform a choreography like that for 50 minutes and still have your voice so under control. I'm always impressed when I see them. Other bands and especially singers are completely exhausted after just 40 minutes. You can think what you want about Babymetal and of course not everyone likes the band and music, but the show they put on is unique. If I look at their tour calendar for the last few weeks, they've been on stage almost every day. Respect.
