DELTASWAP: Chapter I - Impending Krisis | Kris' "Vs. Susie"

Kris' words to Susie that the boss of chapter 1 parrots could also be a reversal of their role. Instead of "Quiet people piss me off", maybe the line could be "You talk too much" or even just a simple "Shut up."

I love how Kris is positioned in front of the deltarune logo so it looks like the wings are coming off of them. Also I like how they have a bandage around their leg which I think is a Frisk reference (Since they start Undertale with a bandage).

I love the tone and atmosphere in this. Much more longing and profound than Susie's menacing theme.

(Kris opens the door to reveal Ralsei talking to a Hathy) R: "Please, under ANY circunstances, DON'T let the sunrisers get to the Shadow Barrier!" R: "A-Are you listening to me?! This is important! DON'T let them escape!!" K: "...Ralsei?" R: "!" R: "K-Kris?!?" R: "B-But... how... how did-" K: "Ralsei, we don't have time! Susie and Lancer are still there, you gotta help me sneak them out of their cells!" R: "I... I..." R: "...Kris... I... can't let you get past this room..." R: "P-Please... please understand." R: "Don't make things any harder than they need to be. Just... turn around and go back." R: "Please." K: "Wh-" K: "What?!?" K: "Ralsei, what the hell are you even talking about?!" K: "We have to go home! Why are you acting like this all of a sudden??" R: "N-No... Kris, you CAN'T just GO HOME!" R: "Do you even undertand the meaning of this??" R: "Did any of this even mean anything to you?! Did it matter?!?" R: "Kris... if you leave this world, what am I going to do?!" R: "Y-You... you guys are the only people who UNDERSTAND ME!" R: "You're the only ones who it's still fun to spend time with!" R: "No... more than that..." R: "It's because I CARE about you!!" R: "You're my best friends! The ONLY ONES I have!!" R: "I'm not ready to say goodbye to people like you!" R: "So please... just GO BACK!" K: "R-Ralsei, what?!" K: "You... you know this doesn't have to be goodbye!" K: "I know this must be hard for you, I know how much it hurts to be left alone..." K: "...B-But you can't just DO THAT!" K: "Like, think about Susie! She has a family, she has friends! There's people who care about her!" K: "We have lives up there, you know. You're being selfish." R: "P-Please, no, stay with me, Kris..." R: "That's cruel... that's so cruel!" R: "IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!" (Ralsei grabs Kris' arm) R: "I'm not letting you escape!!" K: "L-LET GO OF ME!" (Kris pushes ralsei away) K: "ASRI- RALSEI, GET IT TOGETHER! YOU BETTER STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!" R: "..." K: "...You're in my way. Step back NOW." R: "...No." K: "Hmm... I think you might have misunderstood..." K: "Since when..." (Kris draws their blade) K: "..Were you the one making the choices here?" R: "......The only way you can leave this room..." R: "...Is by killing me." K: "..." K: "Sure. As you wish." (Battle starts)

kris looking like cloud strife (and having the buster sword in place of Susie’s axe) is such a good design choice tbh

Okay this is actually really cool. I love how you incorporated all these leitmotifs in here, especially the modified ones!

Vs. Susie but heroic. This is honestly the coolest thing I've heard in a while.

My personal headcanon for Deltaswap is that Kris's personality in the AU would be somewhat like a "silent giant" type: physically strong but also speaking very rarely. They would also always refer to themselves in third person, like: "Kris has noticed you are spying on them", similar to how the narrator refers to characters in third person.

omg this is such a banger, i love it smmmm the motifs make so much sense, and i also like the fact that the melodies sound a lot more emotional rather than aggressive like in Vs Susie, which honestly really fits Kris' character ngl i think i'd go as far as to say i prefer this over Deltarune's Vs Susie, you did an amazing job as always Kibo

WOW This slaps I like how the OST Beginning is just that upbeat, anticipation for a good day kind of song, while the use of this leitmotif here is just ominous
