The strategy you came up with to fight Wolfey was hilarious lol. Apparently that's how casual players are able to beat people who are REALLY good at chess; because casual players don't use the best viably competitive strategies and it leaves pros totally confused XD

The masbostiff storyline broke me. My dog passed away the week before I got scarlet. I didn't play it for a while after. It was done so well though. I'm glad he survived!

I just felt so bad for Arven throughout the game, especially given he nearly lost Mabostiff, plus he finally hears from his mother/father after years only to discover that he's a damn ORPHAN now.

The Arven storyline gets even sadder when you go into the professors lab (?) at the poco path lighthouse and there’s a little secret. “It’s a bed for a Pokemon. ‘Maschiff’ is written on it in a kid’s handwriting!” THAT MEANS ARVIN AND HIS DOGGO WERE PARTNERS SINCE CHILDHOOD 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

My personal head-canon is that Annihilape is so powerful that the cracking you hear with them is the fabric of spacetime creaking and groaning in response. And, yeah, that Mabostiff storyline is the best execution of any story in the entire franchise. You aren’t saving the world, stopping super weapons, halting darkest days, or any other stupidly high stakes. You’re just helping someone heal their beloved pet. These low stakes storylines are much more relatable and a welcome change of pace for the series
