My first thought: Hank Green can sing? Second thought: Hank Green can sing.
  • I never thought I would need a cover of That's What Bilbo Baggins Hates.

If I ever walk into a pub or bar and someone starts singing this. I will immediately stand on a table and join in .

When the Irish drink, they sing and when they sing, they drink. (a witness)

Beer and nerds with precisely enough time on their hands.

So, after having watched this a lot, I've finally noticed two little nice details that I like. When they sing about the Green Dragon in the start, they shoot the green ball on the pool table into the whole. Later when they sing "throw the wine on every door" they shoot the red ball in. The details shall not go unnoticed, despite they have been for the past 4 years.

For someone who's science teacher showed us countless of Hank's Crash Course videos, this is very interesting to watch.

Hank: "Okay I'm excited for this! I'll see you tomorrow to start recording :D" Peter: "Oh before I forget, I'm going to need you to bring like 12 shirts..." Hank: ".... what" Peter: "Maybe more"

I'm singing this at the Green Dragon in New Zealand before I die, God willing.

Lyrics: The Green Dragon Oh you can search far and wide, You can drink the whole town dry. But you'll never find a beer so brown (but you'll never find a beer so brown) As the one we drink in our hometown. You can keep your fancy ales, You can drink em by the flagon. But the only brew for the brave and true... Comes from the Green Dragon! Hey Ho, to the Bottle I Go Hey ho! To the bottle I go To heal my heart and drown my woe Rain may fall and wind may blow But there still be Many miles to go Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain And the stream that falls From the hill to plain Better than rain or a rippling brook Is a mug of beer inside this Took! Blunt the Knives Blunt the knives, bend the forks, Smash the bottles and burn the corks Chip the glasses and crack the plates That's what Bilbo Baggins hates! Cut the cloth, tread the fat, Leave the bones on the bedroom mat Pour the milk on the pantry floor Splash the wine on every door Dump the crocks in the boiling bowl Pound them up with a thumping pole And when you've finished if they are whole Send them down the hall to roll! Bofur's Song There's an inn, there's an inn, a merry old inn beneath the old grey hill, And there they brew a beer so brown The Man in the Moon himself came down One night to drink his fill. The ostler has a tipsy cat that plays a five-stringed fiddle; And up and down he saws his bow, Now squeaking high, now purring low, Now sawing in the middle. So the cat on his fiddle played hey-diddle-diddle, a jig that would wake the dead: He squeaked and sawed and he quickened the tune, While the landlord shook the Man in the Moon: 'It's after three!' he said. Now quicker the fiddle went deedle-dum-diddle; the dog began to roar, The cow and the horses stood on their heads; The guests all bounded from their beds and danced upon the floor. The round Moon rolled behind the hill as the Sun raised up her head. She hardly believed her fiery eyes; For though it was day, to her surprise they all went back to bed!

"Hey, Peter, I'm so drunk... I think there are two of us?" "Actually, Hank, there are like, six of us." --Two totally real quotes from Peter and Hank, 2016
  • I really love the unique timbre of Hank & Peter's combined voices.
  • "Sir! It's the clones! They've.... started to sing..." "Finally." Whoops, wrong franchise.
  • @MichiruEll
I really like the contrast between Peter's very clean and precise singing and Hank's more raspy spontaneous one.
