Read the description. This will make a lot more sense.

I like that Asgore doesn't rejoin the chorus until after the more accusatory lines are over.
  • It's stupid that possibly the best song in the Musical had to get taken down because of copyright. Content creators don't deserve this.

"Ill remember your friendly face." Frisk: -_-

Hah, foolish legal system, I've dowmloaded the 1 hour version of this song onto my Samsung Music app! You can't stop me!
  • I truly feel bad for Asgore. After all the pain and suffering he's been through, losing his family for multiple reasons, he's all alone. He sits on his throne alone, he waits for the day to free his people alone, he's alone no matter what he does. He stands alone and now he will die alone.
  • I like to think that when he says “he’ll lose a son again,” he means that twofold. One, he sees another child die for the sake of his people, and the second is a play-on words where if he loses, he doesn’t get to see the sun.
  • Though he is an enemy, he is not evil. Just a king doing what’s right, despite how bad it sounds.
  • Asgore had the patience to wait for the humans to come to him for their death Asgore had the bravery to fight them all knowing one of them would die Asgore had the integrity to tell the humans the truth Asgore had the perseverance to always go through with the quest to break the barrier Asgore had the kindness to allow the humans to go back, even though it stopped his quest Asgore had the justice to be pushed to make the humans suffer the monsters fate And now Frisk has the determination to end the suffering Asgore and the monsters had to endure

Asgore is Undertale's most misunderstood character. He's an antagonist, but he's not evil, he just has a broken family and wants freedom like everyone else.

This song was taken down on MOTI due to copyright strikes. While I'm sure many people appreciate the reupload, just know that it was due to copyright strikes (and I believe the owner of the rendition personally asked Alex Beckham).

For anyone wondering, Bergentrückung translates to "Mountain Rupture" or "King in the mountain"
  • @iSandal
This song still gives me LITTERAL chills
  • A father with a broken heart, and a family that’s torn apart… The hill is where he sits on his throne… and takes the soul of the human who roams…
  • @TakeV
I am straight for Asgore's voice. Hot damn.

To this day, the lines of the chorus send chills to my spine
