Hat's off to all of our vet's past and present. And let's not forget those that lost their life in the fight for freedom. A special thanks to all that served.🇺🇲

Thought you may want to know, Paul Harrell’s Brother Roy gave a Hardcore Hammer Camp Companion Hatchet shout out and recommendation in Paul’s newest video!

Reminds me of the fire tower on Pine Mountain in Kentucky. My Dad was a forest ranger for 40 years in SEKY. I made a lot of happy memories running up and down those towers while he was working fire season.
-
I remember the video of your son ,making his first birdnest fire, and how proud you were when he did it, GREAT VIDEO I learned alot😊
-
I think you are one of the best at showing and explaining the bow drill fire making techniques and process every time I’ve seen you

We had an abandoned fire tower near where I grew up. A rite of passage…of sorts…was to climb up to the top without getting caught by the Game and Fish Officers. We always wanted to camp up there, but to my knowledge on one ever did. This video brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks!

perfect spot for a HAM radio repeater/antenna and a Starlink antenna powered by solar panel/deepcycle. and a night-sky telescope :) add a winch/pulley system with bucket to hoist things up high

Good points about the bow drill. I can truly say that I've never camped under an abandoned fire tower. This was a good use of existing surroundings! Once, I came across an abandoned brick-making place. There was an office (no furnishings). It offered an easy shelter against a surprise ice storm. Inside, I discovered two things. There was electricity available (all I had to do is flip the breaker). And there was a very good electric space heater in the one and only closet. I was able to stay warm and even able to eat up water for coffee and instant oatmeal. I ended up spending two nights and a day at that little structure. I guess it wasn't real "bushcraft" but certainly was survival with style.

If anyone is on the fence about the bottle set that he sells, it’s a great set for someone to have. I used that, and my cold handle skillet on the modern survival course with Shawn, and Jake. It did everything I needed it to.

I really like this format, nice find on the tower, you do make the best vids on outdoor fundamentals😊
-
Really cool video! Love how you find new and unusual places to camp and teach new skills.
-
Still the best bowdriller on YouTube. That tower was in bad ass bad shape. But had lots of potential.
-
Thank you for this video. Excellent selection of materials. "Use what you can find." Cool that you found that tower! Be careful.
-
These are the types of videos that got me subscribed and keep coming back. Excellent work
-
Wow, what an awesome find! I would love to have a structure like that on my ranch!
