I won't lie I was not expecting too much regarding the Deacon as I felt it was just a forgotten afterthought, this was nice to see and listen to, cheers.

I find it very interesting you called Deacon the Proto-Xenomorph. I do think Deacon is the original creature the Engineers worshipped and was the ‘pure xenomorph’ that the Engineers and David wanted to recreate and Neomorph, Praetomorph, Xenomorph all became a product of that. Which makes me really curious for a full expansion on the Deacon lifecycle. Well done.

New Building Better Worlds book for the Alien RPG just dropped! Hope Project Acheron is diving in with a full pot of coffee this morning - Lots of great new lore details to explore and discuss.!
  • I remember getting literally creeped out by the Deacon’s birth scene in Prometheus. When I walked out of the theater, I literally had chills. The hisses and other sound effects played a role in that. Like it’s Xenomorph cousin, the Deacon is one creepy motherfucker, while the Yautja (Predators) are some ugly motherfuckers.

It was the coolest looking alien to ever do nothing.

Sweet, I really like the format with the larger display windows. I am looking forward to your video about the ultimate forbidden life cycle stage of these creatures on the station, the Fulfremmen. :_AcheronXeno:

Despite it not getting much screen time in the film, the Deacon is my favorite alien in Prometheus

    Another new Project Acheron video!😆💕

    12 minutes? Cmon man this could’ve easily been a 25 min+ video!!!!!!

I just don't understand why every alien movie since Resurrection (with the exception of AVP) seems to hate Giger's biomechanical design so much. They all just want to make it look like a "realistic" pure flesh organism. Even Ridley Scott himself seems to hate it.

You explained it very well and like always you did an Amazing job, lets hope that we see some day again a Deacon maybe in a Adult Size ^^

Dude love your videos. The story arc with the black hole, what comic is that from? Much of your info I am dying to own the source material, I thought U had so much but apparently I missed more than I thought.

When I first watched Prometheus I was terrified of the Deacon, I knew how the xeno’s could replicate aspects of their hosts like the predalien for example so I thought the Deacon would’ve replicated the engineer’s hyper intelligence. So I imagined a giant and brutal creature thirsty for blood with the intelligence of an advanced alien civilization inside its sharp curved skull. But then the comics came along and revealed it had eaten the Black Goo and turned into a immobile mountain, not so scary nor smart after all. I actually thought that the Deacon would’ve learned to pilot a ship and get off world that way, it’s a little far fetched but at least it didn’t involve inflation into a geological structure

E se lo space jockey del primo Alien avesse generato anche lui un deacon e quest'ultimo si fosse evoluto in regina, deponendo tutte quelle uova che Kane aveva scoperto all'interno della sua astronave?
  • @Xenosaurian
Um, that's not the one "collectively known as 'the Protomorph'", the one collectively known as the Protomorph is the Xenomorph variant engineered by David on Planet 4. This one from Prometheus is only collectively known as the Deacon. Also, you forgot to include the Fire & Stone comics revealing the further stages of development of the Deacon.
