Maybe bedrock will finally get custom world settings like amplified and superflat soon
  • @BlockFacts
This seems like such a simple feature for them to add to the new UI, especially since they just remade the Create New World screen! However of course (as mentioned in the video) there's a lot of work that goes into adding UI, for example it needs to be translated into every language the game supports. Hopefully they add it soon, though.

These settings are bedrock because they were in legacy console… meaning even though they’re gone, 4J are still giving us gifts. Forever thankful to them
  • @Quackenson
I think the reason all those suboptions exist was so that custom superflats generated in the legacy console versions would continue to generate the same even after being moved to bedrock. Not holding onto hope that bedrock will get official custom superflats, sadly, but at least it’s possible in some way Edit: i had not watched the entire video

custom super flats were on bedrock a long time ago, but they removed them for some reason. but this whole time you have been able to make one on Xbox if you just had the old Minecraft Xbox 1 edition edit: they also had amplified worlds but the amplified only generated from as far as you explored before going off of Xbox 1 edition to the new normal one

It really sucks how Bedrock is entirely focused on developing new gameplay features and pushing the Marketplace, whereas Java Edition is still adding new features whilst also improving some nicher features too.
  • @brock3257
I just want a way to make superflat worlds generate biomes like a regular world, so you can actually play survival on them 🤩
  • Toycat: It's already in Bedrock Edition Also Toycat: So all you need to do is edit the world files... Editing the world files is putting something into the game YOURSELF. Bedrock can't handle CREATING IT, but it CAN handle IT EXISTING. You put it in Minecraft, Minecraft didn't create it.

I've been waiting for someone to put together a website for it. I used to create my own by editing the text file manually but it was a pain, so I'm glad someone finally put together a tool.
  • @joshjones6072
I've got to try this! I'm so glad I just got Bedrock recently after playing Java MC since 2012. Big salmon version and flatworld challenge!
  • @Bently_Gaming
I am a bedrock player and before the caves and cliffs update you could actually customize superflat worlds in game just like java (but easier) but they removed customization from bedrock during the update for some reason.
  • @TNMYcFan182
this reminds me of my favorite feature that they took out of java forever ago when you could totally customize everything in a world. I used to make hardcore worlds that had insane mountains and stuff like that and then change it so all of the overworld oceans/lakes/rivers became lava instead and tried to survive that way and make a cool world out of it. I miss that so much. you could even change how often things like diamonds spawned and what level they spawned at so instead of having coal everywhere it was diamonds in a survival world instead of being in creative. it was novel but fun to mess with. does anyone else remember this ? also if anyone knows the last version of java this was in i wanna know so i can go back and play it again.
  • The fact that Nether biomes actually have proper ground instead of just grass.
  • I hope this ends up like spectator mode, where people found it hidden in the game and then they had to end up adding it in the end
  • No links on either his channel or your description to the website in question? That's kind of sus...
  • @superNova5837
I feel the best way to go about adding it would give you 4 inputs blocks which could use a stripped down version of the creative menu without items and inputs for starting y coordinates with the option to add more layers (within a reasonable limit) and could be in the basic world settings or the advanced settings menu
  • Bedrocks older editions like Xbox edition ps4 edition and so on, used to let you do this. Before they turned migrated, all the editions for different consoles on one platform
