  • LOL!! I rode past you in the other direction! This was shot early in the day! Sometimes, the line of cars to get into Bolsa can be a mile long! Fun stuff.
  • Well, rats that was not me, but another scooter rider who looked very similar, right at the start. There are not very many escooter riders! I am constantly trying to find any! I was there a bit later that day, after that marine layer went up. Last Sunday I rode from 405/Springdale, down to Seapoint, up to Jack, down to the river jetty and home. Perfect beautiful day. QUESTION for ya, do you ever notice that bicycle people on bike trails give scooter people Stink Eye?! LOL!!! My wife and I noticed it on places like San Onofre to Las Pulgas, a super fun ride, and just saw it on the San Luis Rey trail in Oceanside that was fun but LOL, snobby!! Just wondering if you ever got that vibe? I was an original So Cal kneeboarder, and the standup surfers gave me flack, so I told them I get tired of seeing their butts when I'm 6 feet behind them in the TUBE! But that bicycle trail snob thing, is weird. We even did the Ventura to Rincon ride, HIGHLY recommended, and felt like we were not "pure" or something using E power! CRACKS ME UP!! But if you want to go to Scooter HEAVEN and ride your brains out, the place is Borrego Springs!
  • The ONLY TIME I enjoy this ride is on a week day in the dead of winter. Otherwise, it's entirely too crowded with people, a third of whom do not adhere to common courtesy rules of the road. Not fun. I have found, and use, other OC trails that are much less crowded, where I can actually get some solid aerobic activity.
