I edited Rappers Wikipedia Pages to make them slightly shorter

Most rappers are egotistical and braggadocios, as I explain in this video, with humbleness being a rarity in rap.

Think about all the times your favourite artist has claimed to be the GOAT (greatest of all time). They’ve probably said it a lot, especially new age rappers like Yeat (‘IDGAF’, ‘Sorry Bout That’), Playboi Carti (‘Sky’, ‘Magnolia’) and Lil Uzi Vert (‘Flooded the Face’, ‘Aye’, ‘XO TOUR LIFE’).

Aside from some artists who break the mould, like Future, Drake and Lil Yachty, being self-assured, confident and selfish is arguably the norm in hip-hop music. Okay, maybe those weren’t great examples but I’m sick of rappers flexing their super cars and jewellery.

That’s why, in this video, I set out to humble some of the biggest rappers in the music industry, such as Playboi Carti, Young Thug (‘Business is Business’, ‘The London’) and 21 Savage (‘American Dream’, ‘Rich Flex’, ‘Her Loss’), to make them more relatable.

How did I go about this? By editing their Wikipedia Pages to make them slightly shorter.

Height can often be the source of a rapper’s self-centred traits, think 2 Chainz, Future, Polo G, so I thought it would be the perfect place to start when attempting to humble them.

First I started with Young Thug, making him significantly shorter in an effort to reveal the true reason behind him wearing a dress on his ‘JEFFERY’ album cover. I then moved on to ‘Just Wanna Rock’ and ‘Pink Tape’ rapper Lil Uzi Vert, but decided against making him any smaller. He’s already tall enough when stood on his money “stand on my money now I’m 6’6”” - he raps in ‘Sanguine Paradise’.

Next on my list was 42 Dugg, who is most famous for his work with Lil Baby on ‘We Paid’. Then it was ‘Utopia’, ‘My Eyes’ and ‘Fein’ superstar Travis Scott, followed by ‘Heart on Ice’ rapper Rod Wave.

Then I opted for a switch in tactics, deciding to provide your favourite rappers with fake job experience - again in an effort to make them more relatable. First on the list was 21 Savage, who is played by Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) in an upcoming movie, followed by Playboi Carti (‘BACKR00MS’, ‘Ur the Moon’, ‘2024’).

Carti, the 0pium rapper associated with Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, is known for not telling the truth - something I played on when editing his page. However, it seems an upcoming project simply titled ‘Music’ or ‘I Am Music’ is coming soon.

After Carti (Jordan Carter) was DJ Khaled (‘GOD DID’, ‘POPSTAR’) and finally French Montana.

After completing the mammoth task of editing all these rappers Wikipedia pages, did it all work? And what can I conclude? You’ll have to watch to find out!

If you hadn’t gathered by now, this video isn’t just a showcase of my Wikipedia editing skills - or lack thereof - it’s filled to the brim with humour centred around the most well know hip hop artists this century.

As a Wikipedia editor, I think this is very entertaining content! I'm pretty sure all of your edits got deleted in under an hour, and Few Snake News is considered unreliable on Wikipedia :(. I think it's reliable but I don't think I would win that argument of Wikipedia. Great video!
