A week clean. Not much, but it’s a start. Believe it or not, a week is a big deal for me.

I was addicted to porn since I was 11 years old. I’ve been clean for months since becoming Catholic. Therapy and constant prayer to Our Lady will help you. Pornography addiction is ruining lives and no one cares. Go to mass as much as possible too. Glory to Jesus Christ. I still get temptation, but we fight till death.

No one quits anything. They replace it with something better. 💥 nuff said.

read a book called 'Unveiling your hidden potential' by Bruce Thornwood, eye-opening for me

Haven't watched corn in 2 years, The key is to not fight your urges, but to instead just wait for them to pass like waves. Just take a 20 minute break from your computer/phone every time you have a sexual thought.

Please pray for those who suffer addictions of any kind.

I have been an addict since I was 16 or so. I hit rock bottom in every way until last year when I was baptized. I am now taking back what Satan took from me and am working on a children's book. For he took my adolescence and I will not have that happen to anybody else.

Pray for me. I’m on the way out of this addiction, but I keep relapsing. I want to be free and accept the grace Christ gives

Dr. Peterson is absolutely right. Religious transformation has freed me from my porn and cannabis addiction. The fear of god outweighs all other fears and desires within me.
  • I was addicted to porn and masturbation for 15yrs, I’d aways wanted to quit the destructive habit but I couldn’t do it myself. One day I cried out to Jesus in prayer to deliver me and trust He did. There is power in the name of Jesus , all glory be to his name 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Addiction darkens the intellect and further weakens the will. Practicing the virtue of temperance combined with prudence is a good beginning. Serving others is key, especially if you're an atheist.

I am 28, addicted since 13 and have quit 1000 times to no avail. My wonderful sexy girlfriend of 5 years broke up with me after I cheated on her one night. The perversion got the best of me - I didn’t not love her, it was simply novelty that made me seek another person. Still very wrong. Porn will make you seek and do things that will destroy the blessings you do have.
  • I finally saw how juvenile and weak an addition to porn is. That bugged me. I was tired of being a child. I wanted to mature, to grow up so to speak. One day the lightbulb came on and I realized that I wasn't putting any plan into action. I wasn't formulating concrete steps to avoid porn. I bought Covenant Eyes and confided in my wife who graciously agreed to be my accountability. Knowing my wife will see what I look at on line is a huge deterrent. I've lost track of how long it's been since I looked at porn.

My husband quit when we started a romantic relationship 3 years ago. Though I was in love with him I told him I couldn’t be with him unless he stopped watching porn. So he did. You can quit if you have enough motivation.

Getting a blocker on my phone, getting rid of everything that might cause a relapse and keeping myself busy has helped me massively.
  • @erikseymour1
Pretty inspiring to see the men in here encouraging one another and offering up prayers.

Physical removal of any open channels to unfiltered and unguarded internet access was an essential and very hard step for me. And even then, thats just the beginning. Got rid of my Xbox, got Covenant eyes for all computers and phones. LEAVE PHONE when going to restroom as much as you can! All this before I even became Catholic, and now through the grace of God imparted through our Lady’s Rosary and the Eucharist, I have been sober for months. Saint Joseph, Pray for us!
