Loafer is one of two major Intermediate runs in the Beavers area. It is located to the left or South side of The Beavers. The run provides access to numerous dropin points for advanced and expert terrain including slopes, glades, trees and gullies. There is absolutely no beginner terrain in there.

Loafer can be accessed from the upper terminals of Lenawee, Beavers and Zuma Chairlifts. There will be a long flat transfer from the upper terminals to the point on Loafer where the pitch gets steep enough to provide a gravity assist for forward motion. This section will let you know if you got your wax right!

Loafer has a variety of steep pitches and flats as well as narrow catwalks and wide open swaths. It is generally a fun run with some challenging elements.

Even though you will see a lot of traffic going into Loafer, it seems most boarders and skiers will jump off into the advanced and expert terrain leaving you with a mostly wide open slope for carving your turns.

Best of all, the scenery from anywhere on the run is spectacular.

Thanks for visiting. Have fun and be SAFE!

  • I so badly want to get a quiet pow day in the beavers bc it would be the best experience you will have there!!

Thanks for the video. That "boot cam" made me seasick! Hard to tell from the video, but would you say that the second part of Loafer is equivalent to Mozart at Keystone?

I’m seeing this and knowing this was not what I skid, I’m starting to believe I got to zuma’s cornice somehow, and the ikon pass tracking agrees with me
