The second best Marine faction with 'Angels' in their name - the Blood Angels have got some undeniable cool Units in their roster, but how well do they perform in 10th? Let's go through 5 which I think are very strong picks for any competitive Blood Angels list in the newest Edition of 40k!

What are you top 5 Blood Angels Units in 10th Edition? EDIT - Tycho the Lost does indeed have a 4+ Invuln, not a clue how I missed the big red bar saying invulnerable save in the exact place it is for every other unit in the Game but... there you go!
  • @jamesg72901
I believe tycho is on his way to legends isn’t he?
  • Thanks for making this, it made me realize that death company marines on foot is just what my list needs right now...

Jump pack death company with 10 (or 5 man unit) power fists + inferno pistols have to be one of my best units. Every single game without fail they destroy usually double their unit value in points. They have destroyed knights, demon princes and even multiple necron units all in one turn. Pair them up with a chaplain (not needed) for +1 to wound, give them a stratagem red rampage for lance and lethal hits and they can literally destroy any unit on the board. My best MVP so far (along with DC Dread)

If Tycho survives the next blood angels codex without going legends i'd be well suprised. Most the good units he can go with are soon to be legends. He's fun to play with a command squad as they can get a really janky load-out but are well on to their way. Same for the Death Company first borns, they are on borrowed time i'm certain.

Librarian Dread is an auto include. Death Company with Jump Pack is pretty solid. I hear the Sanguinor is really good but don’t have one of my own to try out. Everything else in the index I’ve found is pretty meh at best, or at the very least has a generic space marine unit that does what it’s supposed to do either better, or at a cheaper cost per model. Competitive wise, there’s just not a lot in the index that meets the bar. Honestly it feels like the only reason to even run BA at all is the ability to teleport an aggressor or hellblaster squad with fire discipline up the board.
  • What if a unit charges the DCD, the charge unit fights first, does that trigger frenzied reprisal, then, allow him to attack again after that, essentially twice in a row, back to back? Or does there need to be a desperity as in, "DCD charges, attack, enemy unit attacks, frenzied resprisal kicks in" can it truly be, "enemy charges, attacks, frenzied reprisal into normal attacks?"

For me 1. Death Company Dread 2. Death Company W/ JP (led by generic chaplain) 3. The Sanguinor 4. Gabriel Seth 5. Sanguinary Priest With Assault Marines moving into legends, would of been a perfect match up with 4 & 5 but a combo that won’t be sticking around 😢

Can’t wait for the top 5 Nid units! Norn Emissary is definitely gonna be one of them!! Straight up MONSTER KAIJU 😈🦖 Hopefully it’s gonna be T12 with a 2+ 4++ invun save. STRONG melee combat beast as it butchered a unit of custodes in the narrative
  • @DuxDamnatio
#1 is the Sanguinor. He's arguably one of the strongest units in space marines rn. His only real issue is his 2 damage sword because the main commone melee threats are 3w. #2 Librarian Dread. Read as: I make whatever shooting unit in your army always have line of sight. Great for mission play. Great with Aggressors. Great with anything, really. #3 Jump Pack Death Company. 30 power fist attacks!!! That's pretty good. 12" refill charge is also quite good. If you have Lemartes lead them they become rather choppy, gaining Lethal hits and -1 damage or do a Jump Chaplain for +1 to wound. 260 points is alot but their main competitor is Bladeguard, who dont have the same punch or power as they do. And the extra 80 points feels well spent on the loads of extra movement. #4 Lemartes. -1 damage, Lethal Hits, good melee. Nuff said. Though I do think he might be outshined by the regular jump chaplain. #5 Baal Predator. BIG flamer and 2heavy flamers. Reroll advances and all of it with assault. Enjoy getting to ABUSE the new overwatch. Nobody is gonna get close to whatever objective you park this fucker on

Funny I just watched another video on the blood angels and they ranked it almost the opposite. Sanguine guard was their number 1 overall, and jump pack death guard was A tier. Weird.
