I still remember the first time I heard "This is my last resort" sometime in the beginning of Summer of 2000. I was 15 and I was trying call my friends via the home cable phone.. no one was at home and the cruel part was that no one called me to go out with them. I remember how I was staring through my room's window and just said in my thoughts "this is my last time trying to continue with the friends I feel they are not my friends anymore"... then I just turned the tv to try find something funny to distract me from the tough toughts ... and this is how I stumbled on the VIVA tv channel playing the new hit from Papa Roach. It just clicked with my soul so damn right ... to this day, 24 years later, I still don't allow any toxic person to stay in my life! Papa Roach - My Last Resort is the fuel for this part of my personality!

I am now 34, and I still can remember my 12-15 year old self listening to this song and telating so much to it. Fortunately, I had a loving grandma who supported me a lot.
  • I'm 37 - turned the radio on today, and mid verse lyrics, I just joined in. Some songs just hit your blood stream memory and you know every word ❤ 🇨🇦

  • I don't care what the haters have to say about Papa Roach, their music got me through some tough shit in life. Papa Roach is a blessing

This clean version is like having a shower without using the water
  • The video is genius. You may feel alone in your bedroom with the music as your sole comfort but all ages and races can come together for the music

This is the first song that I heard of papa roach :]
  • When my daughter was a toddler these guys were popular on the rock station. She named her ballerina stuffed bunny, "Papa Roach"...sweet memory unlocked. She's 19 now. ♡
  • This song will never feel old. Even the MV is so fresh, still radiating the raw emotions through screens. As kids we enjoy the song As adults we understand it.

As I was a kid who didn’t know English good enough to actually understand the lyrics, I thought it’s just a catchy song. It still is catchy, but now I can understand it and relate to it. Songs like this really do help a little to continue to exist (I can’t call my existence a “life”).
