The gentleman who overheard and handed her a pad is the GOAT, unintentionally cleared himself while being super respectful and kind

wanna know whats the best thing about this recap? no annoying loud music + no direct google translate words... keep it up...
  • @remurina8696
Without a shadow of a doubt, this has got to be the best ever movie recap I've seen. No annoyingly loud music, no obnoxious google text to speech and the narrator feels like they're actually telling a story not just robotically reading off a script, great job!!
  • @Hifuutorian
You don't use AI, you say the name of the series, you aren't just reading off of the Wikipedia summary, AND you go through the PITA-process of writing the subtitles (Though, they're off). That's amazing, I'm subscribing!

The moment I realised that the masked guy just has cats that he hid from the bus, I couldn't stop laughing XD

I'm sure plenty of these looper series exist, however I like small details of this one. I like how after the two are stabbed to death they actually treat that death with more gravity, because they were fully aware that they died in that one, feeling themselves slowly slipping away, as opposed to the instantaneous deaths of the explosion. I also like the small detail how the one guy gets into the loop because she keeps taking him off he bus ... I am sure if they managed to get Lou off over and over he'd remember as well, but its difficult to get him off the bus easily. Also like how when the man actually kills the bomber, he actually reacts appropriately. It doesn't matter if its a loop, he killed a woman and he will remember doing that going forward, even if no one else will. Like I said, small details that gave this premise some flavor.
  • I watched this series last year with my father. We binged watched it and really enjoyed it. The premise is simple but well executed and you get attached to the characters easily. My father passed away last month, i thought maybe it's not so bad to be stuck in a loop with him alive, but moving forward with the memory is also good enough

I am just happy that there is no open end, but a really satisfying and moving closure to all the big and also small narrative strings.

My favorite thing about this series is that there is absolutely no product placement at all
  • @Konayo_
Unanswered questoins: -> why did the police-person's phone have the same ringtone? -> why did the bomb go off when the phone rang? -> why did the bomb go off even when Tao couldn't do it? -> why did they get stuck in a loop anyway? -> why was the bus not sponsored by razer?

I love Time Loops, they are a regular staple of science fiction but as this show illustrates they also exist outside science fiction. Time loops show us how our reality is governed by a series of events, some of them are a result of the choices we make as individuals and others are totally outside our control. It's interesting to speculate how an existing timeline might be altered by making different choices or trying to alter some of the other variables that led to end of the timeline. In many time loops the protagonist is trying to alter fate, trying to undo the untimely death of other people or themselves or even the end of human civilization. In many cases the protagonist attempts to change the outcome by altering certain personal decisions they make only to find that this doesn't work which usually leds to the protagonist to focus on trying to affect the actions of other people but persuading people to change their decisions is difficult when you can't explain why they should do so. Often time loops can't be broken without the help of at least one other person and even then only when a set number of key events occur in the right order. This seems to illustrate how significant events like a death or a disaster or the outbreak of a nuclear war are the result of a complex series of events and choices made by many individuals and as such changing a few things wouldn't necessarily change the end result. Maybe it's just the Geek in me, but I never get tired of Time loops and whether it's Ground Hogs Day, or a time loop in Star Trek or Star Gate, or Dark Matter or Stein's Gate or Live Die Repeat, or Reset for that matter, I think they are all great!

The only thing sad about this Is that a kitten keeps dying over and over again 😭

Came from the thumbnail, stayed for the story, subscribing for the ride.
  • That ending was just a really feel good ending, everyone gets to the places they needed to go, man gives his watermelons to his son, molester gets locked up with guy who hates him, and the protagonists get together.

the reason the characters in this series that arent in the time loop are able to touch us in such a profound way is because due to the time loop, we can see what people really think, without the constant doubt that maybe they are just being nice to uphold their own image. for example at 18:00 we see the man's true thoughts on his family with no possible filter to cast doubts on what he is saying in our minds. we kind of have the omniprescience that a theoretical god would have. the ability to see another person's true self.

as someone who can’t dedicate hours to watching a show, especially one this dramatic because of how overstimulating that can be, i thank you so much for such a no frills and lovely recap <333
  • @burnyizland
This was so enjoyable. A) watching the whole thing I think would have annoyed me because of the repetition and how long it would take, but the subject is so interesting. So I'm glad to be able to hear the story in shorter form. B) Your voice is good and you're not using any annoying distractions while you tell the story - which his so rare on this site. Thank you for making this. I will be subscribing and I don't do that often.

Not gonna lie, I haven't had the opportunity to watch much, because my attention span towards watched media got atrocious over the years, but I can still listen and I miss these stories. Thank you for narrating it all. It's an actual opportunity for me to catch up on so much. Thank you.
