UK based that's easy to follow without too many characters. It is centered on the mysterious disappearance of a wealthy woman. The plot implicates her husband as the prime suspect. However, there are a few twists and turns along the way...

It’s fun to hear Wingfield stories again and again and they still entertain. A test to destruction story is genius.

❤RD Wingfield! This is my possibly fifth listening to this. Thoroughly enjoyed it every single time 🤩

Columbo came out in 1968 but this story was in 1971, but he's definitely a Columbo type with excellent humor.

I always wondered if Wingfield ever worked in a bank since so many of his stories revolve around them?

A really brilliant radio play. Wingfield never disappoints. And I have just realised that he is the author of the excellent D.I Frost books.
