lol, I always wear my detective hat -- I'm a Sagittarius. I read some of my reviews but it's usually only around the time I release. With my older trilogy, I barely pay attention unless someone brings it to my attention...I'm so sorry this happened to you! I don't know why people feel the need to be mean. I can't imagine waking up thinking I'm going to go out my way to be mean and to try to damage someone's work and success. Thank you for sharing your experience!
  • I read my book reviews. Some are good some are bad but I'm just happy they read the book. The worst review I've ever received was a 5-star review that called my book a wonderful children's book and fun for the whole family. This hurt my feelings because they did not read my book. None of my books are meant for children.
  • I do read my book reviews, but I try not to obsess on them--lol! A fake review, like a 1-star review, must be a rite of passage of some sort. Time to pop over to Amazon and buy your poetry book. 🥰

Definitely always check reviews, someone tried to slander me with lies by writing a bad fake review on my gigsalad, but thank goodness they have the same policies against fake reviews so its been dealt with
  • I'm sorry about that. I will be reading your poetry book very soon, I want to finish Regina Saint Claire's poetry book first. I'm even more excited to read this book now!

It's crazy that haters go through such lengths to lie to try to destroy someone and their art and business for no reason .smh

What Tom Foolery is this mess?! I'm so sorry this happened to you. You have arrived when this happens. I feel like I would read the reviews. I don't think I could help it. Thank ylou for keeping it 100% on this topic.

Amazon should allow only customers who ACTUALLY buy merchandise to write reviews. Also people need to keep their personal grudges off of a retail website. That was completely childish. Guess it's true, some people really don't mentality graduate from high school. 😒 And if they're going to talk trash like that, at least have the courage to say who you are.

I read them... I try not to take anything personal, good or bad, cuz as a writer who is also a reader I understand the importance of giving an honest review - whether you like the book or not. BUT this whole business of creating FAKE reviews (which is really getting ridiculous these days) ESPECIALLY when they use them to bash the AUTHOR is absolutely getting out of hand. Thankfully... places like Goodreads and even Amazon are cracking down on them! Don't sweat it... it'll get handled since it is blatantly obvious that this person has a personal problem with you.
  • I've glanced at some of my reviews and fully read others and I think it's important to do so. This person thought they were being clever. I did read a little of the review before reporting, it was so condescending. And my reviews are coming soon. ❤

Unfortunately trolls just exist to be trolls. I'm sorry this happened to you, but I'm looking forward to diving into your book. It would be very hard for me to not read the reviews of my own book 😄
  • What the heck with the fake review?. How does that happen?. 😢 I can relate to being direct as I am also a Sagi. On a different note, I love the shade comment.

off topic - I was about to ask you if you are role playing Lady Godiva lol when I saw your hair cascading over bare shoulders... then I saw a hint of white sleeves lol... so nope!
  • Def do what’s best for you I bought my copy and reading it now will leave a review when I finish.
  • did you have Beta readers? Is it possible they got a copy from a misguided beta reader?
