Yes, the eyes of the emperor could absolutely be working with Valdor. Im certain constantin valdor is the king in yellow and he is enacting the emperor's final plan. All he needs is a single drop of the emperor's blood on the spear and he will have his true name like horus ship. One common idea throughout all of 40k is 4d chess! And this is him playing it for real. The warp is the 4th dimension, the king in yellow resided in a pocket of the 4th dimension. Personally i cant wait to get more info from the next book.

Constantine's Spear is meant to give him the vision of the emperor in the advent he slays him. The emperor probably foresees him succeeding to lengths he himself was unable to.

Imagine that Valdor learns the Emperor's true name, and then is able to wield his psychic might to sit the golden throne after he slays the emperor which in turns allows the emperor to recover from his wounds or simply loses his human form and ascends to Godhood. Can be an interesting storyline to follow

If the King in yellow is valdor and he's truly seeking the emperor's true name that should be very concerning because he would then have control over him. Remember valdor was ready to destroy all of the Emperor's sons and their sons.

We need a Valdor novel that starts at the end of the herasy, could probably make it a big series, given the huge timeframe his life encompaes, assuming he is the king in yellow.

The angels sound far more like ravenguard than blood angels. Pale skin, long black hair. The grail and angel motif seems to be a red herring to lure people away from the truth. The curse is the largely forgotten sable brand of the Moritat raven guard, the shadow killers. They have eye like solid black pools of shadow and a suicidal like rage. The black rage is similar as both are caused by trauma and extreme stress but the raven guards came first and it was their original flaw. The sable brand also cause the marine to become overly critical, mercilessly and apathetic to their allies as apposed to the black rages blind violent outbursts. The bird like nature of these creatures also speaks to the mutant half demon aspirants of the ravenguard, who’s production was sabotaged by the alpha legion while corax attempted to rebuild his legion with primarch geneseed from the original primarch project. It could be the king in yellow completed Corax’s quest to remedy his abominate sons by stabilising their condition with the blood of sanguineous. How do you counter demon blood? With the blood of the angel. The king in yellow’s tactics or destroying the leadership of the cult also rings true for corax.

This is a huge story for 40k lore. I feel like this massive army is gonna get ground to dust against either chaos or tyranids in an instant. Otherwise the implications are too big for the imperium. Girlyman and the Lion would not be on board at all unless valdor imediately relinquished his army to them

As has been established the Emperor’s true name is Jimmy Space, that’s why they are his Space Marines. It follows the Land Raider naming convention.

He has a million names but only the emperor could give him those names since he was the first, so the emperor has been chatting with him
