Honestly, this seems like a good practice exercise. Like, obviously Jerod knows how to play Megalovania, he plays it everyday, but to start and stop on a dime, to recognize how far forward or backward it jumps, it just like a fun test of skill.

I love how this spawned theories that the monsters are actually composing their battle theme (with magic) as they're fighting you, which explains why sans' "strongest attack" happens in complete silence
