  • Thanks for the awesome review Reed, it was really good to get your feedback which is invaluable! Oh, and more stock will definitely be coming soon!

20 plus years ago I worked as an engineer at a company that used uwave technology for automatic door sensors. The 24 gigahertz sensor I worked on would indeed detect someone breathing. We used this as a feature to make a "safer sensor"
  • So cool to see these on your channel Reed. Been following Lewis for a while, really hope these take off for him.

Such a cool kit. Excited to see this grow so the scale will get bigger and cheaper
  • @thefluentone
Now this makes me want to integrate home assistant into HomeKit as that's my setup. I could see this being useful, thanks for the review!!
  • Awesome! This is what I've been looking for. Thanks, Reed!
  • I'm sure a lot of sweet videos will come from this sensor! Looks sweet! And crazy that it can detect you typing without even seeing you that was amazing haha
  • The use cases for proximity based automations that are this accurate are unlimited. It could really allow you to fine tune automations and increase automation resolution.

Wow, what a neat sensor. I look forward to trying one out and then probably replacing every sensor in my house with it!

This is pretty cool! Joined the waitlist.

Nice shirt! I've used a couple of presence sensors, and like everyone else, we have the "turn the lights back on" wave going on every so often. Once these are back in stock, I'll definitely be picking up a couple.
  • I saw this when he announced this and ordered 5 on the spot. I can not wait to get mine and set them up
  • @ronm6585
Looks like a great device Reed. Thanks for sharing.
  • @RogerStocker
Great, to see you are amazed about this sensor. Now I will definitely also boy some of these.
  • Direct Sunlight? Hi, thank you for bringing this great sensor to our attention. Have you tested it outside? Virtually any PIR sensor that I tested triggered false alerts when the sun was shining on it or when the sun was heating up the area under it (hot air moving upwards). I'd be interested to hear how it behaves outdoors.

Dude, your voice is awesome. Great tone for voice-overs and sitcoms!!!

Fantastic video and super exciting new tech for motion sensors! Any ideas on how to power these if I want to place this in the ceiling of the rooms of my house? The only thing I can think is to have a ceiling outlet in every room, but that isn't super ideal. Any ideas here on battery power or low voltage power?
