Great video I have replaced the oil with butter for years and added an extra egg, but I go a step farther and add a small box of vanilla pudding mix, right into the batter. It makes it even more rich and so MOIST. I add a couple of teaspoons of corn starch to my home made cookies because it makes them so moist. Great video Angelica, your the best. Blessings from Aledo Texas!
  • I love that you show the cracks and imperfections cuz that's how the majority of us bake/ cook. It's called real life❤️

I like the trick if using the butter wrappers. Another trick I use to make white cake taste like bakery cakes is to use about 1/4 tsp. of almond extract in the batter. Once the cake is baked and cooled, I wrap it in plastic wrap and seal it well. Then place it in the freezer, usually over night so it is frozen solid. Take it out the next day and thaw it, but not quite completely. Then I either make my buttercream icing from scratch or I buy icing from the bakery at my local grocery store or buy Wilton white buttercream icing in a plastic tub. Ice the cool cake. Keeping the cake cold keeps it from having so many crumbs. Tastes like a bakery cake.
  • I’ve actually been cooking my cakes on abt 330 degrees lately, and I think they come out so much better. I also like to rotate the pan halfway through to keep cooking as even as possible.

I saw somewhere that whipping up the store bought frosting with your hand mixer for a few minutes will make it more buttercream like!
