A true musician. Not a competition pianist, A TRUE MUSICIAN I said.

Many people will never realize how brilliant that is. This is probably the most impressive piano video I've ever seen on YouTube. Absolutely phenomenal! Mozart, who liked to play variations of well-known pieces himself, would have found this outstanding. 👏👏👏

I am convinced this guy is literally one of the greatest composer pianists of all time and a complete genius…he makes lang lang look like a complete beginner

  • We read in music history books that the Appoggiatura that Mozart uses at the beginning of the main theme in A minor is due to the fact that in those times it was FORBIDDEN to start a piece with notes that did not belong to the chord of the main key. But it is also true that at that time Turkey and its traditions were fashionable; it could be that Mozart used the Appoggiatura as a rhythmic expedient as well as screwing up the musical laws and Hayato Sumino expresses this possibility at minute 0:16. Thanks to Him for this modern version of the "Turkish March"... Mozart would have been happy with it...!!

That D flat variation felt absolutely heavenly, the delicacy he brings to an already beautiful melody, amazing.
  • Incredible. It’s like having a modern day Mozart…so creative, innovative and uplifting to the soul! God-gifted. Thank you! Waiting for another American concert…all you!
  • @paganina2330
No way! I just wrote in a comment section that I‘d like to know how a Mozart played by you would sound. And know we have this video. I’m speechless. This is sooooo beautiful. Your arrangement is beyond fantastic. You’re one of the greatest pianist, composer, arranger of our time. Just amazing. Love it, Romy from Germany🎶

  • I'm in awe right now, not because of your mechanics, but because of your CREATIVITY (or IMPROVISATION). It was so much amazing, so thank you for your composition!
  • @jackiego1
That is absolutely insane how someone can learn that much about a single instrument’s theory while mastering the technique as well. 🎉
  • @userhsu
Have been following you since your round 1 performance in the Chopin competition, still didn’t expect you to have still that much hidden talent, keep up the good work ❤
  • @ptlimmer
I was having an exceptionally bad day. However listening to your playing, as always, put a smile on my face. Thank you for this moment of beauty.
