Thank you all for watching! I'm still sad at the outcome of this video :( but more challnges in store!
  • When you were at 397, the display was 141, the difference of which is 256. If the actual underlying score is stored as an 8-bit integer, you could be experiencing a buffer overflow when the game performs some process between innings or something. Obviously the scoreboard itself is exempt from this overflow, because it's showing scores above 256, but in between innings, the underlying mechanism that updates the total score could be experiencing the overflow.

The fact that a team of zeros even managed to get one run is pretty bizarre
  • Honestly, you deserve to have all those line outs. Derek Jeter is a contact hitter, not necessarily known for his pop.

if you want your best shot at this, switch teams right after contact to prevent them from fielding it
  • I am an Astros fan by myself. I feel like he’s making fun of the Astros.
  • I've scored 86 runs without having to do all of that and without having to change the other team, and that was in franchise mode. If you truly want a challenge, fill all of your lineup up with pitchers, meaning that your outfielders, basemen, shortstop and catcher positions are all filled with your pitchers, and win against any team in Franchise. It's a pretty fun challenge, and not easy. I won 9-7. I did sign on a few pitchers like Nolan Ryan and Satchel Paige for the season to boost my pitching staff, and I will give you a good tip as far as Ryan goes. He's a really good catcher, and has some power in his swing.
  • Buddy you must be living in another universe when the yankees are beating the astros

i think the player of the game was actually the pitcher who had a pitch count of over a thousand, dudes arm is made out of iron.

Thanks for sharing this fun adventure. I remember trying to get 100 was so big and my commodore 64 baseball game. Also remember when you could only go up to 255. Because it stored one number in ascii and then went back to 0. Challenges like this are so fun.
