In this mod, Sonic is confronted by Sonic.exe and he must escape from his grasp, in the canon ending Sonic sees his fallen friends (Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Eggman) and this leads Sonic to fight Sonic.exe in his Super Sonic form to avenge his friends. I like this mod because there are 3 different endings you can get. Missing 20+ will cause you to get the bad ending, Missing 1-19 gets you the canon ending, and FCing the song gets the best ending.
I'll be playing Sonic.EXE: Confronting Yourself [Final Zone] on very hard difficulty, will Sonic The Hedgehog finally defeat Sonic.exe or will Sonic lose? (Boyfriend & Girlfriend isn't in the mod)

Sonic.exe (also known as "X" or "exe" for short) is the titular main antagonist of the Sonic.EXE series. Sonic.EXE sends out a haunted game disc featuring the creature killing the main Sonic characters and has a lot of jumpscares. Appeared in many mods such as SONIC.EXE 2.5 / 3.0, Starved Eggman, Final Escape & New Triple Trouble Reanimated & Remixed mod.

I like how Robotonik helps Sonic take down Sonic EXE by shoting him out of the sky. Even Robotonik has had it with Sonic EXE

if anyone didn't realize, the mod uses the Sonic 2 sprites for both Sonic and Sonic.exe, making this a twist because instead of Sonic using Peelout to run faster, he uses the Spin Dash to speed, because in Sonic 2, the Peelout ability didn't exist, only on Sonic CD

Ok, I know now why this reminds me of Saster because he is even on the credits, and the Knuckles and Tails transition feels really just like Saster's beat.
