Fun fact: the Italian voices of vox and alastor are brothers
-
“How angry do you want this to be?” France French: yes
-
Fun fact about the Japanese dub of Alastor's voice filter: There's little to no crackling or distortion in his voice in this dub & it's intentional. Japanese radio broadcasts in the 1920s & 1930's were of a clearer audio quality compared to western radio.
-
English Alastor: "Uh oh, the TV is buffering!" German Alastor: "Tₕₐₜ weᵢᵣd dₑᵥᵢcₑ ₕaₛ ₐ dₑfₑcₜ-"
-
The most impressive part as an Italian is that for once they bothered to completely rewrite all of the rhymes to fit perfectly. 10/10.
-
The italian VA of Vox and Alastor are actually brothers, and they also voiced Shaggy and Scooby-Doo! update: I just found out that Carmilla's VA is also their sister 😂
-
Nah I think it's still super funny that in the German version Vox doesn't yell the typical "Fuck!" angrily but rather calls Alastor a wanker.
-
okay but the turkish laugh NAILED IT?? it was the best of them all imo
-
Ayo? Italian Vox?? What a captivating voice! So different and unique. The rap part doesn’t bother at all because the VA kept changing tones
-
Proud of being italian rn but Alastor's japanese VA fits him A LOT too WTH
-
-
My top 3 1: Turkish 2: (France) French 3: Italian
-
The fact that alastor said in turkish at the end "oh, how entertaining" instead of "oh this will be fun" was a great change ngl
-
In Italian at 7:13 Vox says "io ti radio". This is a play on "radio" (that means radio ofc) and "odio" (that means hate) and they sound very similar. "Radio" is even the verb "radiare" that means "to be cancelled by a list or a role". Basically Vox says that he wants to cancel Alastor while due to the distorsion of the voice he says that he hates him too and he references the fact that he is the radio demon all in one sentence. The adaptation is insanely clever
-
Alastor’s line in French at 10:21 actually sounds far more threatening than the English version. « Laissez-moi vous rappeler simplement qui je suis car ma voix est votre amie. Vox va regretter d’avoir joué. On va s’régaler » « Let me just remind you who I am because my voice is your friend. Vox will regret having played. We're going to enjoy this » Just the way that he’s not talking to Vox directly, but rather to everyone in Hell makes it sound more threatening.

German, Italian, Hindi, Portuguese, Thai, French and japanese are my top favorites.
-
i feel like the french canadian alastor really captured the character. also, the "AHAHahahaaa, shit" at the end was somehow better than the "FFFUUHUHUHUUUUK"
-
31:25 when alastor says „he would be powerless without the other Vees“ vox screams „Stop it/don’t do it!“ in Turkish LMAO
-
the french canada version is deffinetly my favourite but i just love how in the france french he says "on vas se régaler" wich can both mean "we'll have fun" and "we will feast" wich i think fits him since if i remember correctly he's a cannibale
