  • Hey everyone, I just wanted to clarify something that has come up in the comments. When I mentioned the story of the Harry Potter series being initially rejected by 12 publishers, I was focusing on the journey of the book itself and the importance of perseverance. This isn't meant to endorse or support J.K. Rowling's personal views or actions. Thank you all for your understanding, and let's keep our discussion positive and focused on the topic at hand. 🙏🏼💙"
  • Yes on the non-toxic masculinity point. He's down to earth, authentic, vulnerable, confident, honest...and unapologetically so. He's beautiful inside and out.
  • He encapsulate everything everyone, regardless of gender, would want in a man which is a brother or a father or a lover.
  • I had no idea about his mother. It is so heartbreaking and so inspiring how he has achieved so much after the tragedy.

He came from theater like Oscar Isaac . different kind of man

he honestly seems like a lot of Chilean Gen-Xers I know, including my sister and BIL; kind of an ironic but humble/self-deprecating personality which is super charming. I love that he never stopped caring about his birth country and that he loves his extended family just as most Chileans do. Some people would say he didn't struggle as much because he wasn't poor per se - considering his dad's profession and his last name (Balmaceda is an old important lastname here, one of our most important presidents had it) - but that's stupid. Any exiled family -even if his dad could work as a doctor elsewhere - had it hard, and the fact that he managed to get to success in Hollywood on its own is incredible.
  • I thought it's impossible to fall further for this man but he makes me feel so warm inside

He's always been killing it. It's because he has lately been given starring roles in 2 shows with a massive fan base so more people are finally noticing him.
  • Oberyn Martell was a perfect character in GoT (in my opinion). His total screentime was pretty short, but every single scene and line had a purpose. He was never boriing, and he left the audience wanting to see more of him. The way Pedro injected subtle mannerisms into the character was such a big part of why we loved him (i.e. the relaxed, confident, IDGAF attitude towards the lannisters, propped back in a chair with his feet up, casually swiping his hand through a flame when he entered the room, etc). The way that he was vengeful, sarcastic, and INCREDIBLY charismatic on the surface. but then showed us how introspective, caring, and righteous he was beneath all that (perfect example: his monologue with Tyrion down in the dungeon when hes telling Tyrion that he will be his champion against the mountain). The fact that his time on the show was so short but left us so devastated when he died, is a real testament to how much life Pedro breathed into that character. The character didnt overstay his welcome, either. As devastating as it was, he left at the perfect time: at the height of everyone rooting for him. Unrelated, he also left at the perfect time because it didnt give the writers the chance to totally obliterate him like the mountain did to his face.

    Bravo Grande Pedrito😍🤩🇨🇱💚
  • I felt for him late 2020 at that time I was moving on another continent it was in the middle of the pandemic and he became my confort actor. My feed on TikTok was already full of Pedro but when the Last of Us came out it was different much more content so I ask my non Pedro fan flatemate if she had Pedro on her TikTok feed and she said yes and I knew that the world have felt for him and I was so proud
  • He's a really genuine person, he's SUPER talented, funny, and sexy AF...that's why.
