  • I'll say Pete's purple tele sounds great because Pete loves playing it.
  • Pete, you’ve got a great boss and he hit an absolute home run adding you to the team!
  • @RufusWhite
I started playing guitar around 5 months ago, and had my heart set on a purple Schecter for my first electric. My friend who inspired me to pick up the guitar in the first place told me no - don’t spend so much on your first guitar, so together we looked at what was available. Purple and orange have always been my colours, so I knew the guitar had to be purple, that was my only requirement. We found the purple 60’s vibes squires you guys had, and as soon as I saw it, I fell in love. Since getting it, I’ve had the pickguard swapped out for a psychadelic purple/orange custom one, and even though it’s my first guitar, I hear what you’re saying about having a guitar that you connect with. It feels like it could only be my guitar, and because of that I’m inspired every day to pick it up and play it. So, thankyou, Pete, for being the reason why I have my perfect purple guitar - even though I have notoriously bad GAS, I haven’t had any inclination to get anything else, how can you improve on perfection?
  • Man, that‘s a lovely story. If your entourage is that nice to you, cares about you and gets you your absolute dream guitar BEHIND your back, then you are truly a lovely human being to be around, Pete! So glad you are part of the Anderton‘s team. You add so much to the videos and I‘m sure also behind the scenes.
  • @ssevegeta
For all the lefties out there I would like to offer a sincere thank you. We are typically forgotten by many guitar makers as unimportant when all they need to do is make limited runs like you are doing. Once again, thanks to Danish Pete for thinking of us
  • @RS2KR
Pete, you and the rest of the Andertons crew inspired me to pickup the guitar after 10 years of being away from it. The limited runs are great and I’m happy to say I’ve purchased a few over the years. Thank you for all the great content. You guys are an inspiration to so many of us across the world.
  • Something I appreciate about Andertons videos and the purple tele is how genuinely you seem to like it, I watched a few videos where a guest comes over and you guys go "no wait, you gotta try this thing"
  • I’ve heard the story but had to watch again. This story is just pure joy and happiness. Your wife, kids (and Lee) are all amazing. Cheers Pete.
  • I’m very fortunate to own one of the custom shop copies of Pete’s Telecaster, and it’s easily my favourite guitar. It plays and sounds fantastic. I can only dream of playing as well as Pete, but I have a guitar that’s a pleasure to play every day, and inspires me to keep improving. Thanks Andersons for making this wonderful unique spec available!
  • @beaumas
I absolutely love that Andertons made these guitars accessible for everyone, instead of just saying you can only have an expensive custom shop or nothing. The wonderful people of Andertons are true musicians.
  • Laughing & crying at the same time at your birthday story Pete! So happy that you are doing something that you love and are so good at - I’ve been trying to learn for many years, but just don’t seem to have your natural ‘knack’ 😢. Keep on doing that thing you do man.
  • Telecasters can be so underrated, there's something special about a great Tele the way it will ring when played acoustically, the feel of the neck and just a pure slab of ash which will absorb and spread out those vibes evenly and rounded. Even Les Paul diehards if you play enough Tele's you will find one that will be hard to walk away from then you will know! Great video as always. 😊
  • No doubt it's a great guitar but I feel like a large amount of the magic is that it's being played by a professional guitarist through really expensive pedals into really high end amps turned up louder than most of us are able to play in a non-band situation
  • You’ve really got the feels in your playing Pete. Never stop. Never change. Outstanding.
  • @DudeMcGuybro
I have the purple mischief maker from Andertons, and it's by faaar my favorite guitar to play. I've had it for a little over a year now. Came perfect out of the box, in tune and everything. Set up, intonation were perfect for my liking.
  • @willtato8778
I remember hearing this story many years ago. I was so happy for Pete.
  • @TELarkin61
I love stories like this. Good idea to tell it, and nicely done as well. Thanks for this one!
  • It’s always a great story and I still enjoy hearing it again. Nice one Pete!
  • Love this Pete . I have had a similar expierence with a couple basses over the years . I can tell even over the internet ,that thing is great .Not to mention how you can tell when A player is playing his #1 that he has truly connected with . Yes would love more of this style of video .Thanks man .
