Playing Shinobi III on the expert difficulty was a true test of skill. Each level presented a new challenge, with death lurking at every corner.     I used to have a lot of fun playing this on expert with 00 shurikens. Added a resource management level to it, as well. I will say that Shinobi III is far easier than Revenge of Shinobi, thanks to a far superior double jump and many, many more offensive and defensive options. I could actually beat it this way without losing a life...if you don't count using the exploding magic (Mijin), that is. (It wasn't until years later that I figured out why the lightning magic would be far better with the powered up shurikens! Every day's a school day!)
