now my eyes will be seeinga rotating psm logo for the rest of the day
  • What's kind of hilarious about Harry getting amnesia is that it's comic accurate. Every single time an Osborn discovers Peter's identity, they get exposed to chemicals in a fight, or OD on drugs, or any number of things that result in them forgetting that Peter is Spider-man until they regain their memories out of the blue just to either die or lose them all again

When I saw Spiderman 3 for the first time when I was young, My life changed forever. Also that was the movie that got me into Spider-Man for life.
  • I've noticed that each suit has it's lighting Tobey's suit: sunrise or sunset Andrew's suit: at night Tom's suit : a sunny day
  • I totally get why people don’t like Spider-Man 3, but I can’t help but love it and it is my favorite of this trilogy by far
  • Pertaining to aunt Mays speech, I've always preferred her figuring out Peter's secret by already knowing. It really shows how much she loves and knows Peter. Only a mother could understand, but its always more powerful to me when aunt may says she's known for a very long time already

The scene where he realizes if he was Spider-Man he could have saved everyone in the burning building is not only the best Spider-Man scene of all time but arguably the best scene out of any superhero film. It just fully sells the need for superhero’s and does it in the best possible ways.
  • I love how grateful people are in these movies, should be a reminder on why people should make their neighborhood a friendly one.
  • Your points against Spider-Man 3 are exactly what I love about it. It's genuinely depressing, everybody is mad at each other and nothing seems to go right, which is fitting since Peter donning the black suit, a symbol of anger and revenge, is one of the main focuses of the movie. At the end, even though we see Peter and MJ dancing together, they don't look happy. Because they're thinking about all the shit they went through and how rough it has been for both of them, because of Spider-Man. But idk, I love dark and depressing movies in general so I may be biased lol

The things this movie changes from the source material are all from the 90's show, and this movie adapts scenes from the 90's show as well
  • I absolutely love Aunt May's line about revenge, because it genuinely changed me. I was like 15 and at the peak of my teenage angst. I decided to rewatch the Raimi trilogy after a long day from school. Once I was on Spider-Man 3, and that scene of May talking about revenge came up, I remember I had such a desire for revenge towards someone just 2 years ago after they wronged me, and slowly but surely I decided to let it go. Spider-Man 3 may have its flaws but that line "Revenge is like a poison" hit me really hard. I don't want it to take me over, and I don't want to turn into something ugly. I'm glad I can continue turning into a better person, even if it's just from hearing a line in a movie.
  • I just find it funny that mj cheats on Peter so many times throughout the trilogy and Peter doesn't know about it but the one time he cheats on her she's furious

My only "defense" (well the closest to a proper defense) for Mary Jane in these movies is that I think the real big problem with MJ is less about how well-written she is, and more about how the movie needed to do more to emphasize how much her background really affected how much she views relationships and other stuff. Considering the things I've experienced with someone I know irl, MJ makes a bit more sense but it's also the sort of topic not everyone can understand, plus some legit fumbles on the movies' part makes MJ, to me at least, gets a bit too much hate. Not saying she's actually perfect beneath the surface, there's just things about her as a character that's understandably not easy to grasp for most people.
  • Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man defined my childhood for me. Those 3 movies made love super heroes, comics, cartoons, games and even cinema in general. It is my personal favorite trilogy of all time. Still sad that Spider-Man 4 was cancelled. Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland are great actors that have their places in the Spider-Man mythos, but Tobey Maguire will always be my Spider-Man 🕷🕸
  • bro talking about that train scene almost brought me to tears asdfghjk such a timeless movie honestly
  • Yes, definitely. It remains so iconic. I'm so glad he used Spider-man the animated series for inspiration. That's how I first came across Spider-man.

I love how Raimi did the hair thing with Peter. The comics had this thing with his hair being combed and nice or messy and effed up depending on the scene
