For the brown hat I feel like the colour was chosen because a black hat in a black background just wouldn’t work. The comparison between golden Freddy and the puppet and baby is such a fantastic idea
  • @Stormister
This is actually so clever. How did we not see this before??? The animatronic colors/details changing once possession happens was established in SL and reiterated in FNAF 6, both instances were Scott clarifying the hat change shown by FNAF 4

Honestly i think that it is just because he is eroding over the years, so the paint on his hat and bowtie starts going away
  • @ghostly_00
That urge of FNaF fans to overthink every single detail they notice
  • @GFred1983
Personally I think the brown hat color for Golden Freddy is just because the minigame’s background is black. My main evidence for this is because he still has a black bowtie, and if his top hat was black, you wouldn’t be able to see it. Also the brown hat only appears in this one minigame, so I don’t think that it means anything.

(Gets to 2:32-2:42) So basically Golden Freddy's accessories reflect the hair colour of the kid possessing it at the time? Ya, makes sense. (Cassidy's Black Hair, and CC's Brown Hair) I actually posted this theory on reddit a while back, that "The Black Accessories are Golden Freddy's tearstreaks". Especially since they and the puppet are the only ones with serious super natural powers. (The others CAN do supernatural stuff, like blinking lights and Twitching, but not teleporting or floating) As per that theory, I suggested that since Cassidy was stuck in an immovable suit, and that their desire to "MOVE!!" the suit with no endo caused them to gain the ability of teleportation. Same with Charlie's floating mimicking how the puppet is supposed to be floating, via strings on the ceiling (not a jack in the box, but more moving on the ceiling). Both of them being in an animatronic, unable to move, either due to rain and not being on their rail system, stopping it from working, OR by being in a Suitmode Springlock Suit. No endo = No skeleton to move the body. Only able to twitch it, like in the final UCN cutscene. (Springtrap can walk normally, since his is in animatronic mode)

4:28 Thank you for reiterating this. There are some who are still saying that HW retconned the prior games to never have been real despite everything you said here being revealed in HW itself.
  • I think the reason that the hat is brown when the crying child is possessing it is because Evan has brown hair, and then when Cassidy is possessing it she has black hair so the colour of the hat changes from brown to black because of the change of hair colour
  • Real reason golden Freddy gets up goes to the store, buys a new hat, goes back, and gets too tired to stand up.

I noticed that whenever some form of golden freddy or fredbear appears in the main game, it always matches with the design of the rest of the animatronics, even yenndo could technically count as golden freddy considering his behavior, he's a freddy endoskeleton and he has yellow eyes
  • I think the brown hat is because the mini games all have black backgrounds so it would’ve blended in si they had to make it a close color to black, brown
  • @The_Purple_Lad
I have been WANTING for someone to talk about this specific topic for years, THANK YOU
  • @Lufio
Glamrock Freddy's bowtie was also originally purple and was later painted black. The original purple paint can be seen when Freddy's paint starts to wither as the game progresses

Honestly, I do really like the idea that something on Golden Freddy changes once he’s possessed, and the hat and bow tie are really good examples of potentially that happening. That said, I always thought that Fazbear just like, repainted them as a rebrand; we know they used the Springlock suits in Freddy’s because Phone Guy (who barely even remembers Fredbear’s name) instructs employees on how to use them, but why would they use Fredbear, the one that crushed a child’s head in his jaw? As for the brown hat uhh idk he wanted to make it visible on a black background? Who knows, FNaF1 Bonnie is blue in the minigames so I’m not losing sleep over it personally. What I AM losing sleep over is why he looks so different in FNaF2. Like UCN Fredbear (and presumably OG Fredbear) and FNaF1 Golden Freddy I can accept as a redesign, but the ‘withered’ Golden Freddy? I have no clue for that dude, why he changes back or why he changes in the first place
  • @georgeanto07
you did it bro, congrats on 1k subs, have a good day
  • i always assumed the hat going from brown to purple was the same reason his eyes go from black with white irises to white with brown irises basically being that the brown hat/black eyes was when fredbears first opened and the animatronics werent as colorful/friendly enough looking yet but got better over time
  • @susguy187
I never thought about that, I always just thought that it was just a redesign or Golden Freddy was a different version of Fredbear or not a Fredbear at all. Very good theory!
  • @JosRocks410
Hey the security logbook art with the puppet could be explained by the logbook being made in the FNaF 3 era, so those making the logbook may be unaware that the puppet didn't have them at one point (or only learned after the art was completed)
  • @JosRocks410
fun fact the UCN fredbear actually has slight differences from fnaf 1 freddy body, (if I remember correctly the nose is bigger, but I believe there is more details besides that)
