OVERWATCH Fan Reacts to Full INVASION Movie For The FIRST TIME!

Someone might have already said that but canonically speaking a lot of overwatch characters don't actually know eachother

“I was at the mercy of Humans before Zenyatta, Never again…” Ramattra was a special type of Omnic that was not created by Humans but was created by the God AI that tried to overthrow Humans. After reaching sentience Ramattra went to Nepal and develop a close relationship with Zenyatta and they both consider themselves as close as brothers. He legitimately tried to live peacefully among humans and coexist with those close to him. After enduring the cruelty of Humans during the war and after and seeing his people being outright destroyed and celebrated, he had enough and founded Null Sector to fight for better life for his people. My favorite quote from him is when he transforms in his hulking form. “I’ll speak to you in a language you understand, VIOLENCE!”

To briefly expand on brigitte, torbjorn is her father, and reinhardt is her godfather, basically rein saved torb's life on a mission, they became friends and rein as a life debt got to name brigitte (thats why she has a germanic name spoken in a sweedish way im pretty sure) and became her godfathwr and basically rein is very close to the lindholm family and brigitte became his squire later on

The original Overwatch game didn't have many canon interactions, it was mostly out of universe. Only some limited event story missions were canon and happened in the past, before Overwatch was dismantled. Some characters knew Lucio before, cause he was a popular DJ and Activist, but he never encountered Overwatch in person. Not until Overwatch 2's campaign which has canon interactions, cause it's part of the story. Other characters that have never met with Overwatch are the Junkers, and Winston isn't aware yet that Hammond is back on Earth I'm pretty sure.

If you want to mend the frustration about Overwatch being banned, I would heavily recommend looking into a deep dive of the lore. Specifically lore surrounding "Blackwatch", cause while Overwatch being disbanded is overall not the best thing to ever happen. They did have a dark shadow, a shadow that caused a lot of damage in the world.

Its frustrating but also kinda interesting how you haft to put together a story through so many different types of media. I havent read them but i think alot of the story hast to be read in books and comics to fill in some of the gaps. There are more flash back cinamatics to before overwatch was shut down that where in the first game and they start to show why parts of overwatch were kinda sketchy.

Sadly a lot of really important lore is in form of the Overwatch comics on their site. Like with Baptiste, Zarya, Dva, and Pharah suddenly joining Overwatch, was because Cassidy after the Reunion animated short, travelled the world to recruit new people to rebuild Overwatch. But no one would ever know that because Overwatch rarely ever talks about the comics :(

One of the things to take note of is that, even in OW1, a lot of Characters haven't met eachother in Canon (as seen with Lucio), they just have connections to other storylines/worldbuilding. Not every hero in the game is part of Overwatch or has met the Overwatch Team. Lucio has met Orisa because of Doomfist in Numbani, but again Orisa isnt apart of Overwatch yet either Baptiste, Zarya, Pharah, and Dva, are all with Cassidy because of a series of short comics where he recruits them after the "Reunited" Cinematic

1. Lucio never was in Overwatch the organization. He was working alone/ in a rebel cell against Vishkar. 2. I think a valid reason why people lost trust in Overwatch is explained in the Retribution mission archive, if you can find gameplay and cutscenes from that I recommend watching them.

Watched all of the overwatch reactions so far and gotta say you're probably one of my favorite reactors. You have a great understanding from the cinematics alone and have amazing artistic commentary on the reactions. The depth you go into and understanding is great, especially when it clicks for you and can pull back to it like with Mondatta. Love it love it:)

Lucio was not Part of the first Overwatch team. This is when Overwatch was coming back together with Winston as the New Leader. MAN!! Blizzard needs to make a TV Series On Netflix just like Riot Games LoL did for Arcane.

Cassidy is called Cassidy because the name Jesse McCree came from an employee with that name, they used that employee's name because they thought it fit, however, that employee was revealed to be one of the main perpetrators of the Blizzard sexual assault scandal, so they changed it out of respect Several people still use it, but a good portion of the community finds it rude, I'm ambiguous, just thought you should know

Other people have probably mentioned this, I'm sure, but yeah, the cast of overwatch in lore are not all acquainted or anything like that. Some definitely DO know each other (ie. former overwatch agents, those with fame are known generally like Lucio, and personal relationships like Cassidy (formerly Mcree) and Ashe) but not everybody knows each other. The in game interactions, while some are DEFINITE tie ins to the actual lore, quite a lot of them are just fun little interactions that don't really mean anything, like for example, Roadhog and Ana interact in game but to my knowledge have never met (im sure if im wrong, someone will correct me on that). There's even some for characters that may know each other lore-wise but to my knowledge havent actually seen each other in YEARS.

Holy smokes! Zenyatta's life is at the center of all of this mess. I think that Unfortunately both Zenyatta and Ramattra will end up fighting against each other. And Zenyatta is gunna fold all the talon agents there. Widowmaker and sombra are not going to be able to run fast enough.

A little late but thought I should say- just because they're on the roster as a playable character doesn't mean they're part of Overwatch the organization. There are Overwatch agents, Talon members, Null Sector, and plenty third parties like the Viskhkar Corporation , Volskaya Industries, and the junkers. A lot of these characters have ingame interactions but have never met lorewise up until now, i.e. lucio here.

With the Lucio thing most of the hero’s don’t know eachother and are just being recruited as this story is unfolding. Characters like Mei, Lucio, brig, dva, zarya, pharah, and bap weren’t appart of the original overwatch team but are joining Overwatch as new members. The characters like dva bap pharah and zarya were recruited by mcree in the new blood comic

These invasion cutscenes were told in-game by the pve missions you can play right now, each of the three missions has the beginning and ending video that you saw in this compilation, and you play through it yourself

Part of why Overwatch was shut down was explained in the Retribution cinematics. Reaper, while still a member, murders a man named Antonio in cold blood.
