I'm so usedto watching you do r2r letsplays at this point that I'd somehow forgotten that I started watching you for house build content

The blooming rooms kit is FREE for everyone on PC right now!
  • @Namaikhan
Tbh, a fence around the pool is AWESOME in the sims, because then you can lock it during winter if you have Seasons, which helps keep your sims alive.

Not gonna lie, I have missed your building videos so much

At 37:17 thats the adults dining room. You know how at dinner parties how theres a kids table. Kids in the kitchen adults in the formal room!

James : doesn't put the bar in, even if perfect for the space, because it comes from the last party kit. James seconds later, puts the music player from the same kit XDD I laughed so hard ! Great construction ! This house is beautiful <3

I just want to say that as someone who doesn't have cable tv and watches YouTube for entertainment I appreciate all these long videos. 10-15 minute videos aren't long enough.
  • LOVE LONG-FORM STYLE BUILD CONTENT JUST AS MUCH AS THE SERIES, JAMES!!!
  • Really love the James evolution from "the kids will love it" when throwing together the worst possible kids room, to the "awe it's so cute" James building an adorable toddler room

Mannequins come in handy while building: They help when hanging lights, choosing window heights and placing things on the walls. As long as you remember to sell when you're done (I keep the mannie in the front yard when not in use) you will be able to fully reimburse the simoleons.

I'm surprised the lot is only $157K! Also can you imagine tending that garden in real life? Boy...

James take this: Coziest House Award 2024 This house is so cozy and love how do you really cared about the playability of the house, I've seen so many houses that are so beautiful but they're terrible when we are playing there 😅 I can't wait to get this house, or maybe trying to do one of these for my Sims considering the stuff you said about the columns and the bookcase situation, I also loved the kids space downstairs, its so pretty. This one is definitely one of the greatest houses I've seen

Whoaaaaaa, this house turned out incredible!! The outside is banging, especially the pool area a little seating. My favourite room must be the teen's with a cute balcony :} Also, James got this family a formal dining room, a table in the kitchen, AND outside 😆 They have seats for days!!
  • @EmilyBlueJaye
This house turned out so well! I love there is a large yard space in the back too for a water slide, rocket ship, or whatever. :_jtytLol:

wow, i forgot how much i missed the long form build content. the lets plays and challenges are fun of course and i enjoy them! but building is really where you shine, that kids room with the little tv on the floor is everything! this turned out really well detailed without sacrificing any functionality and id love to see more of this style of build content!
  • @kaityelisa4512
Oh good, I literally just rewatched like 4 episodes of the life stage challenge while doing an overnight at work and now I have a build to lull me to sleep. Thanks James!

I think being a gameplay and building simmer, you bring a very practical element to your builds. You watch speed builds and download these gorgeous houses but very quickly realise they are not optimised for gameplay (and no hate to the creators, I'm blown away by the talent in this community). I'm guilty of it too in my own game: building something just to look pretty or realistic to real life, but is a pain to play in. But you have struck a good balance of asthetics and functionality.
  • @MissFunilla
I love where your build style is right now! I was always amazed by the exterior of your houses, but now the interior is also much more lived in, homely and colourful, which is more my preference and i really enjoy it! ^-^
