In this video, we're going to cover the top 7 lightsaber companies that you should know about in 2021, who you should buy from, who you should NOT buy from, and why.

If you’re thinking about buying a new or custom lightsaber and you’re not sure who to buy from, make sure to WATCH THIS VIDEO FIRST, because there are some VERY IMPORTANT THINGS things you need to know, and some very bad companies you need to STAY AWAY from!

This video is part of a series of videos designed to help Star Wars fans build their very first lightsabers. If you’ve ever wanted to build your own lightsaber but then tried Googling it, saw ALL the work involved, and decided “uhh, maybe next year”, then subscribe to this channel, check out the rest of my lightsaber-building videos in this playlist right here, and consider becoming a Patron of my lightsaber academy tier for the really in-depth lightsaber building videos.

A LOT of research went into this list of top lightsaber companies, which ended up being Ultrasabers, Saberforge, Vader's Vault, The Pach Store, Genesis Custom Sabers, Korbanth, and Sabertrio.

welcome back to the show called 'things I can't afford'!
  • @ShadowAxon
I've heard very good things about Crimson Dawn. Mainly: fast shipping times, affordable sabers with great sound cards, good customer service, and mystery boxes. I ordered my first 2 fancy sabers from there and I'm going to ty to disassemble their parts (most of their sabers are modular) and recombine the sabers together to make a nice looking extra long hilt.

Saberforge takes so long to deliver your order because they want u to learn patience like a real jedi duh lol

I have been out of the saber making community for 7 or 8 years, but it's good to see that the quality makers are still up there, that there are new makers doing good work, and that UltraSabers and SaberForge continue to be reliably unreliable. I miss chatting with Rob and the rest on the Custom Saber Shop and FX-Sabers forums.

  • I have bought a few ultrasabers and was about to by a new one this week but because of this video you have really helped me decide. Thank you so much!
  • Thank you so much. You saved me some headaches and maybe some wait time on ordering my daughter's Christmas present. She wanted a saber from one of the companies you listed that you haven't purchased from and I now plan to order from Sabertrio just because of your high rating of them. I also subscribed.😉

Almost gave ultrasabers $300... I mean I was at the checkout, and then I felt a dark ripple in the force 😨

I have 2 sabers from Electrum Sabercrafts. Relatively cheap (got both of mine with customization and accessories for about 800), can make changes on the fly via a phone app, and their sabers look pretty spiffy. They're fairly bright and loud, they can withstand some serious punishment, and they come with a lot of features that most companies would charge extra for (recharge port, covertec wheel, customizable colors and soundfonts, etc). My biggest problem is that during duels, one of the sabers lost its pommel a couple times, but it's easy enough to screw back on and didn't have any damage to it. Another minor complaint is that the weathering effect on one of my sabers wore off a bit after some sweaty-handed dueling. They're light, thin, and can take a beating, but their store doesn't have alot of variety. If you've never had a saber, Electrum Sabercrafts isn't a bad place to start, as their cheaper sabers are less than 300 bucks. I'm honestly really surprised they're not on this list.
  • this comment section seems to think that $300 is “super cheap”
