These movies truly brought the history of pirates and pirating to life and opened up a whole new world of learning and entertainment. The music, the cast, characters, storylines, acting, directing, special effects, etc....top notch. And, yes, no other actor but Johnny Depp could have played the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. He made Sparrow believeable and at the same time hilariously funny. Sparrow was a genius and with a bit of luck, managed to be immortal. And, the whole Keith Richard's thing and the cameo by both Richards and McCartney....wow!!!
