Anyone else appreciate how fast and concise he is? Thumbs up for getting to the point and not wasting time with irrelevant talking.
  • @ryanfreeman125
6:42 he was about to say "how bad you are." He wouldn't be wrong though lol
  • @TheIndogamer
I actually did such positions on photography and actually it worked for me
  • @Crustymarine
Very "old school" Marine Corps Marksmanship training. It works!
  • The stuff I was taught as a youngster by the old Vietnamn, Korea, ww2 vets, Ryan has covered ALL of it throughout his videos. Atleast the technique and fundamentals that work. A zero bs teacher. But at the same time the way he presents it, translates well to all age groups. Phenomenal teacher. Going through his videos ... he s not reading a script wrote by a team. This guy actually knows his stuff. He UNDERSTANDS it. Experienced it.

Just found this guy tonight and have learned more about practical shooting than I have in a lifetime. Very concise.

Ryan's the best simplistic presenting instructor. From novice to advanced, he can have something to help for anyone.

Marine Corps has been using a loop sling for many years and it is very stable.

When I first went to the range to get ready for hunting with my dad, all he taught me to do was zero in the scope and shoot from prone or the bench. I quickly realized that this isn't the case when hunting and I messed around with different stances. This video did give some more stances I could use and I'm glad I have both the bipod and sling.

Learned all this on the rifle team in high school, 75-78. Glad to see it come around again. Teenagers today don’t have the opportunity to learn this like I did! For standing we put our left thumb under the trigger guard and rested the stock on the rest of the fingers.
  • Ryan is an amazing instructor. Just well thought out, no nonsense or fluff. Facts.
  • Mr. Cleckner I have your long distance shooting handbook, great book from what I've read so far. Very informative.
  • @CraigeLowry
Excellent instruction. Thank you for the tips. My son and I will use them for sure !
  • Six years later, still such an awesome video! Even for people late to the game like myself. I subscribed!
  • It has been a while, this is a real nice refresher, with candid advise about getting off the bench and really practice the way we should be, as we would shoot in the wild. Thank you for the video and the sling tips...I am grateful and appreciate it lots!
  • @kentjerrett2201

  • @waffles05
Just got my hunting rifle and the first 30 seconds of this video was exactly what I was thinking before I headed out to the range. And this video explained exactly what I wanted to know! Thank you!
  • @Musicdudeyoutub
This is an awesome video! I learned so much about proper shooting techniques. Time for some hands-on learning! :)
  • @hdwelding1
I have not tried this yet but so far this is the best video I’ve seen on explaining different shooting positions
