Tried to kill PBY with ki-10, twice. Died both times. Need protips :D
  • Best tip for bomber hunters: fly bombers yourself. It reveals alot of bomber's shortcomings just by simply dying in one...alot

Hey guys, today i have a new tutorial for you: How to kill bombers. We meet them on a regular basis, and i've had a lot of questions on how i approach them. So i thought i'd explain you my main tactics against bombers in this tutorial. Hope you enjoy :) if you did, do like, comment and subscribe.
  • How did I get into that stupid habit of sitting behind the bomber while he shoots me to pieces? Laziness and lack of discipline, I guess. This video is just common sense, really, innit? Thanks for the kick up the backside, Jengar. Some of us need that now and again!

I had a freak case yesterday when I was in the P51 with Hispanos. I dived on a Bv238 from the side where the back guns couldn't touch me. But as I pulled away in a climb at 650kph while evading, one 20mm shell from the top turret hit my wing and ripped it straight off.

Awesome work as always, this technique is the one that used to perform Luigi Gorrini an italian ace in WW2, and it's the better move to engage a bomber together with the low6, but you should take the angles a little bit more frontal from above that will improve the amount of damage done in the pass.

Really helps as I did everything the opposite at first and then I realised BnZ is the best strategy to kill bombers w/o damaging urself. Good tutorial.
  • It's amazing that bomber crews had such high casualty rates in WW2, since according to war thunder, bomber gunners could shoot one bullet and snipe pilots from 2 kilometers away

Your WT content is Excellent! I’ve had this game for over 5 years, and am just now getting to enjoy it. Thanks to your tutorials and tier walkthroughs Cheers Jengar!

As a JU-288 addict, bomber defense is so often underrated by attackers. I'm always putting attackers in my guns no matter where they are coming from. Attackers from the rear are on a suicide mission.

3-4 years ago i used to train B&Z myself (and later taught other people) in a 109F-4 against Yer-2(p)s in scenarios and it was a very good practice for killing bombers as well - when bombers are working in a tight formation (and they were in groups of 10+ , which is an incredibly well defended group) there is very little chance to get any attacks in if you re not going from directly above the group. Not sure if its still possible though - i didn't play for a couple of years and the game changed a lot since then.

With .50's I always go for the engines! Love watching them light up on fire

Glad you shared this mate! This is the method I use. I took down 2 BV's in a Spit this method and was never hit. I was called a hacker afterwords -_-

Thanks for the video, nice and concise advice :)
  • Good one Jengar! I think going for bombers is a lot of risks. Took me a long time to figure it out. Like you say, you need to be patient. I dont always go for bombers, depends a lot wich aircraft I am flying. Cheers for a nice tutorial 👍
