Danbero:

Mike Morasky did a wonderful job creating this dynamic masterpiece of sound design over 10 years ago. He then won a reward in "Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition" at the "Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences" in 2012, and after literally studying the Portal 2 soundtrack, I see no reason why he shouldn't have won all the other rewards he got for the OST.
Last year I asked Vandoorea while working on our "Cara Mia"
if he'd like to rework and remaster his old medley from 2014 together as
a 10th year anniversary for Portal 2 and a tribute to the soundtrack.
As you can hear we put a lot of work and effort into making this project,
and made it sound a lot better and cleaner then the colabs we made before.
I am thankful for this whole project we did, I was able to put a lot of ideas
into our project that I wouldn't have been able to do with all of my stuff.
Some of these tracks will be extendend and put on my channel. youtube.com/c/Danbero/featured
Vandoorea will also put a pole on his channel where you can vote and choose a few tracks
that will also be extended and put on my channel.

Vandoorea:

It's been quite the journey working on this project. We started almost exactly a year ago and finished just in time.
This would be my third time going through the entirety of the Portal 2 soundtrack after my first medley I made in 2014 and all of the single tracks I have done and yeah, I'm really glad this is all done now.
Speaking of which, I'm gonna release all of my Portal remixes in separate chapters soon, if you wanna get more updates and information go check out my patreon.

I hope you guys will enjoy what we mixed together. First of all thanks to Vandoorea for the teamwork and thanks to my friend Nome who made the thumbnail and animated visualiser in the video. We are done with this project but like I already mentioned it in the description, some of these tracks will be extended and put on my channel as a concept album.
  • @minefan7
Ironically I just got a tide commercial with the statement: 80% more tide per tide pod Which sounds awfully familiar 60% more bullet per bullet -Cave Johnson
  • @miniminerx
I'm so endlesslly inspired by this whole community
  • @commodore7331
When I read the description i read 'I see no reason why he shouldn't have won all the other rewards he got for the OST" as "I see no reason why we shouldn't have won all the other rewards he got for the OST" and i kinda just agreed
  • 10 years have passed since the release of the game, and still it remains a cult game.

48:52 My favorite portal joke: PotatOS: "Oh no, this is he part where he kills us!" Wheatley: "Hello, this is he part where I kill you!" The chapter: The part where he kills you. The song: The part where he kills you. He proceeds to not kill you.
  • @Alexolotal
the only dislike is wheatly, who is still floating in space waiting for portal 3
  • @tanybrachid
Beautiful music remixed from a beautiful game. Portal 2 could come out today, and it would still be a 10/10
  • @ryanmci3723
I just realized while listening again that the entire underground soundtrack sounds like a portal movie trailer.
  • @sasanekpl1130
I'm in absolute love in Electro Swing "Turret Wife Serenade"
  • @FrightMorph
At 56:12 I can picture Wheatley's voice fading out with a POV shot of Chell staring at the moon while everything else blurs out, then slowly raising her portal gun, glancing back at Wheatley while he rants, then taking a deep breath before there's a slow motion shot of the portal gun firing. There is a splitscreen of the portal opening into space from Aperture, and Wheatley staring at the portal from the moon's surface, horrified at what Chell has done before the actual cutscene ensues.
  • The combination of classical orchestral instruments with modern electronic instruments is flawless just like in the original soundtrack. It is truly amazing that you were able to combine instruments from two drastically different genres and make it sound so good to the point that I would like this to be the official soundtrack of the game.
  • @Nameguy2
I listened to this while doing my science homework. My homework is now telling me insturction for building a portal gun.
  • @Aegis2056
Thank you for taking part in this enrichment center activity. Goodbye...
  • Here's my top ten tracks: 10. I AM NOT A MORON - It immediately brings me back to that sinking feeling of Wheatley's betrayal. 9. Ghost of Rattman - I was drawn to the original because of Rattman's schizophrenic ramblings--he's actually my favorite character. This version, even without his voice, manages to give me even more chills by emphasizing the absurd liminal horror of abandoned Aperture Science. 8. 15 Acres of Broken Glass - Quite beautiful and haunting, and I love the--tinkly? idk--sounds. It just sounds like glass. 7. You Will Be Perfect - This one is just so aggressive and epic. When I listen to it I feel Chell's anger at being trapped forever. 6. Reconstructing More Science - I've literally never seen anyone say they don't like Reconstructing More Science. The Portal fandom has spoken, it's a bop. This version is both nostalgic and full of excitement. 5. Cara Mia Addio - It builds in the most terrific way. The church bells really sell the triumphant ending. It feels vast and yet far away at the same time, like Aperture Science itself as we rise from the earth. 4. Bring Your Daughter to Work Day - A bit of an unusual pick, but I think the storytelling of this track is just amazing. It starts out exciting and happy, looking towards the future with not a care in the world, and then things come crashing down. One of my favorite parts of Portal 2 was seeing the science fair, this scene from the past--our past--frozen in time at the moment everything went up in smoke. Bring Your Daughter to Work Day feels like a tragedy telling its own story. 3. Music of the Spheres 2 (Incendiary Lemons) - It's just so chaotic and desperate, it really captures the essence of Cave Johnson's final days. I like how it mirrors Music of the Spheres, showing how far Aperture has fallen. I legitimately thought I heard screaming the first time I listened to this. 2. PotatOS Lament - This song is literally just wailing of the damned. I love it. 1. Turret Wife Serenade - It was my favorite on the original soundtrack, and you made it electro-swing? Hell yeah! I can't even articulate why this is so perfect, I just--I want a pet turret. What are your favorites?

Portal 2 style music should be a music category
