Highlights of the 1994 National Championship between the Razorbacks and Blue Devils. Arkansas would rally and eventually take the lead for good, 73-70, on a late Scotty Thurman three-pointer as the shot clock expired. Something that is not talked about enough is the fact that Arkansas defeated 5 consecutive national championship coaches in the 1994 tournament. Starting with the second round they defeated: John Thompson (1984), Tubby Smith (1998), Steve Fisher (1989), Lute Olson (1997) and Coach K (5 titles). I don't think any other team has ever done that.
  • I forgot just what a GREAT game this was. Back and forth, come from behind, clutch on so many levels. This was the SUPER ERA of college BB.
  • This was during the time of the Arkansas "takeover." - 1) A razorback had "taken over" the Dallas Cowboys (Jerry Jones) 2) a razorback had "taken over" the White House (Bill Clinton) 3) and razorbacks were in charge of "big businesses" - Dillards, Walmart, SAM's, and Murphy Oil.....lol

God that was a good game! That was 24 years ago but it seems like only 23.

As a Duke fan. This was a classic and a very good game. Arkansas was the better team and deserved to.win. Had no answer for Corliss Wiiliamson. I was so proud of my Duke squad because they overachieved and werent even picked to go to the finals that year ...and Scottie Thurman shot omg. One of the greatest shots in NCAA finals history. I was happy for Coach Richardson

As a Duke fan, I'm still mad at Scotty for hitting that damn shot! This would have been a 3-peat for Duke. But, this was one of the greatest national championship games ever! Corliss "Big Nasty" Williamson was unstoppable. I was actually happy for Coach Richardson wayyyy down deep. #goblue

Clint McDaniel was so important to this team. He could run the point and was the SG. I loved the way he played.

It was basically a home game for Duke. But Grant Hill wore down in the 2nd half. Arkansas was too deep, strong and talented.

The passing in this game was amazing. I love old school basketball. And Grant Hill man so smooth. Too bad he got hurt in 2000 because before that he was on pace to be what Lebron and Kobe ended up being in NBA...MegaStar Champs.

I remember watching this game. It was shown live in Australia.
  • The duke player hugging the Arkansas players is probably the dopest thing you can do after a great game
  • Scottie Thurman: smooth as silk! Corey Beck was a monster!! Corliss Williamson “Big Nasty” Too strong!

Muss' team this year shows how geatness like this is so damn hard to achieve . I hope people realize how precious it is and how special this team and Nolan Richardson were.

That Arkansas team was the only team that probably ever, actually, legitimately intimidated me. They were big, mean and just beat teams up. But people forget they could run and gun, too.

I was in 8th grade & it was a Monday night. When Arkansas got down by 10 in the 2nd half I thought it was over. Scottie Thurman baby!
