Danganronpa, also known in some countries Hinata's search for Despacito 2 is a fantastic anime video game. This Playstation based Visual Novel turned franchise turned hitmaker is one of Spike Chunsoft's most beloved gaming series and I'm here to tell you why you too should get in on it. This Retrospective will go into as much detail as I, some American dude can do without having a ton of bitcoin to cash in for a plane ticket.

I have no idea how you were able to make a 27 minute video on this series without spoiling anything.

If I say one thing: Please do not skip a game, read a plot synopsis of it, and then go on to say that its main character is just "one note". Komaru is an amazing protagonist, and she gets a lot of development throughout UDG. She's the OPPOSITE of one note.

Please make a Danganronpa spoiler episode. As someone who has fully experienced the Danganronpa series I would love the hear your thoughts and opinions on the more spoilery details.

I would really recommend picking up ultra despair girls again. Komaru has much more of a character than "anime tittys". I'd even say she is one of the more well written protagonists in the entire franchise.
  • I've just binged 150+ hours of Danganronpa, and now I think I need therapy

When I first came across Danganronpa, all I knew was that it was a mystery game with a bear as the headmaster of a school. As someone who adores the Ace Attorney and Zero Escape series, that was enough for me to check out the game. From there, I've been in love with it. I've Platinumed all four Danganronpa games and loved every minute of it (although I do recommend people just watch the cutscenes of UDG as it's a nice addition to the Danganronpa world but a flawed game to play). If V3 is where it all ends, I'll accept that but I will be ecstatic if we get another entry. Austin is completely right, this franchise is worth your time.

If you haven’t played Ultra Despair Girls, you really should. They game’s 1/3 semi-creative third person shooter, 1/3 panty shots of 16 year old girls, and 1/3 the horrific realities of child abuse! Play it is pretty gud.

Danganronpa is such a good series, I still prefer Phoenix Wright as a detective game but the insane themes of Danganronpa are very appealing. Also I don't care what anyone says, V3's ending was good.

Danganronpa is super underrated. I’ve played all 3 main games, the 3rd person shooter spinoff, and seen both anime series. Aoi, Chiaki, and Miu are best girls Edit: For those asking, my best boys are Byakuya, Nagito, and Kiibo

I recommend Danganronpa to everyone. I don't like visual novels but I have more than 50 hours on each Danganronpa game.
