My boyfriend and I live in Toronto and live a very similar lifestyle. We honestly rarely comment on how expensive anything is. I think when you're an outsider it seems a lot more expensive than it actually is. We're also a duel income couple that splits all our costs though so that definitely helps! Even Whole Foods isn't that bad. You just have to avoid certain sections. No one needs $12 organic milk. You can get the same thing at Costco for $3.99 ๐
